Soles have plenty of tread, and the liners are well kept. I wear an 11 tennis shoe, 28.5 downhill boot, and have a medium volume foot. My foot swims in these, so they would be better suited for someone who is closer to an 11.5-12 (or 29/29.5 downhill boot) or else has a wide/high volume foot. These are lightweight, flexible telemark boots suited to backcountry touring, cross-country downhill, and mellow turns. A good option for someone wanting more support than leather touring boots while retaining a comfortable stride. They are far more comfortable and less rigid than my dedicated resort tele boots, so would be perfect for more tour oriented use.
