The heel is well held and the area around the toes allows the feet to breathe a little. The width is 92mm across the toes, staying fairly loyal to a racing design. The Salomon S/Race 130 are very reactive lightweight boots, that you soon forget you’re wearing and allow energy economy. The collar has a strap to ensure good support and doesn’t interfere with the feeling of freedom in the boot, you keep a latitudinal flex at the ankle. You have during the movement both precision and flex (limited) without needing to force onto the front of the boot. These Salomon are not inert and present a lovely cocktail of vitality and rigidity. The 65mm tightening strap has two buckles to improve the flexibility even more. It is quite thin and not that easy to slip into the metal buckle, not the best part of these S/Race 130.
