The XComp 16 GW features all the premium components and technology of the regular Xcomp range. These include a one-piece toe piece, which is mounted as a unit using a three-hole screw pattern and features magnesium components and the GripWalk AFD sliding plate. This includes magnesium sole holders and an updated three-point mounting pattern of the one body toe piece including GripWalk AFD gliding plate, making the Xcomp 16 GW compatible with GripWalk equipped ski boots. Absorbers deliver precise yet forgiving ski steering and control. The improved Xcomp dampening technology eliminates brief, hard impacts and keeps the boot perfectly centred. Brake arms clear edges closely so recommend ski width <75mm.The Marker catalogs from 2019 to 2024 lists brake width as 90mm but appears a 70 or 75 was substituted. Gently used and overall very good. Few minor scratches on plastic brake pads caused by original owner's unpadded shipping and/or storage. Minor scuffing on plastic arms due to narrow brakes that barely cleared edges. Neither affects function in any way. Toe wings release to each side equally and heels operate well but not shop tested by current owner. Seller is 60+, lost weight and DIN range too high.
