For sale is the original artwork from the syndicated hockey comic strip, Small Saves. Title of cartoon is "Bad Game." (ss_017_2026) This particular cartoon showcases the temperament of our little youth hockey netminder when the game doesn't go quite his way. The artwork is drawn in black and white pen and ink. About 17" long. The artwork comes unframed and is signed by the syndicated creator. Since the art is used in the publication process, you may find rips, paste-ins, white-out, pencil marks, notes, and all the "Behind the scenes" add-ons it takes to come up with the final piece. Once this original is drawn, it's taken to the copy store where reduced-sized copies are made. One is then colored in, scanned, formatted, and then emailed out for syndication. I feel the original art would be best enjoyed by fans of the comic strip, hockey collectors, etc., instead of being put in a box and stored away. Perhaps you've seen the on and off-ice antics of this little youth hockey goalie in the pages of USA Hockey Magazine, Inside Hockey, your local newspaper, Goalies' World Magazine, and many other periodicals, newspapers, and online media formats... and, of course, his very site. The art is priced so that everyone who wants original hockey art can afford to purchase. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I can't always reply right away, as I have to log on to the computer to respond. But I will reply. Thank you for looking!
