Model : Bauer RX10 ( X60 ) Hand : Regular Pattern : P31 Paddle Size : 24" Condition : New Color : White/Blue DETAILS The RX10 composite goalie stick is Bauer's updated version of the popular Vapor X:60 goalie stick, with updated graphics. As with all of the sticks in the RX line, the RX10 was designed with mobility and playability in mind. Active goaltenders who need a maneuverable stick, and who like the play the puck, will enjoy the RX10. The shaft of the RX10 is designed using Bauer's Double Concave Geometry - a design that features concave sidewalls, a flat top and bottom, and rounded corners for a comfortable, secure grip. At the midpoint of the shaft, and again at the shoulder (the area of the stick where the paddle meets the shaft), Bauer has added contoured, semi-tacky grip zones. The "Grip Zone" at the midpoint of the shaft (on the back side) has been optimally placed to give the goalie an added control point when using an overhand grip to play the puck. The "Control Zone" at the shoulder provides for a secure grip while controlling the stick during normal play, and it also allows the goalie to securely grasp the stick with the catch glove while shooting the puck in the traditional manner. The paddle of the RX10 features Bauer's Asymmetric Paddle Geometry - a flat-faced design on the puck facing side, which has two important benefits. First, the flat surface increases rebound control, as the trajectory of a puck that is played off of a flat face is easier to control than the trajectory of a puck played off of a paddle with a curved surface. Second, due to the fact that less material is used in creating a flat faced paddle, the stick is lighter than similar, traditionally designed composites. The paddle and blade are made of fiberglass, which is wrapped in Carbon for added durability. Bauer's Aerospace foam - a light weight material used to both decrease stick weight and reduce stick vibration - is injected into the paddle, and a low density foam is injected into the blade.
