The new Prolite GS cowling is the toughest cowling CCM has ever made at this price point. The quarter package on the Tacks 4092 uses a Synthetic Power Form Composite that gives solid power and agility. This construction ensures that the boot can flex in the most important areas when pushing off, allowing for improved mobility. The injected outsole and exhaust system helps keep the foot cool and dry, which reduces weight build up and keeps it comfortable. The felt tongue is reinforced with embossed lace bite protection. Lace bite is one of the most nagging injuries that goalies can suffer, and can completely prevent you from playing. The Prolite GS cowling has a single injection mold reinforced with nylon inserts to increase durability. The new cowling addresses an issue that was on the RBZ goalie skates, where hard shots could cause chipping or breakage on the toe cap. The Prolite G stainless steel runner has good durability and holds edges well. The liner on the Tacks goal skate uses a two-tone brushed microfiber material that gives solid moisture wicking properties. The Anatomical Response footbed provides good grip and comfort.
