From the website: New for the 2021 season are the CCM JetSpeed FT4 Shoulder Pads! These new lightweight pads have been optimized to provide the ultimate range of movement while featuring new tech to help keep you safer from impacts. Moving right into the construction of the Jetspeed FT4 Shoulder Pads, CCM is using an all-new amplified mobility design with molded PE foams, which provides advanced freedom of movement and mobility while keeping the player dry and light throughout the game. This is paired up with ultra-light Ufoam constructed shoulder caps for the senior pads and JDP caps for the junior pads. Both will provide solid protection while staying incredibly light. Moving down the arm to the biceps, CCM used PE molded caps with length adjustment for a custom fit on the arm. In the torso, CCM incorporated a protective layer of PE, which provides reliable protection that remains surprisingly lightweight. Also included is a removable belly pad which provides extra coverage if needed. The Jetspeed FT4 Shoulder Pads have a new hybrid shield sternum & spine protection with HDPE plastics for high caliber protection. Up at the top, there is floating clavicle coverage with PE plastic guards that provide great protection.
