Tydan is top-quality made in Canada steel, on-par with with Step Steel. I even have a few customers that prefer Tydan over Step. Either way, you are getting a great set of black steel for a fraction of the price. If you are looking for an alternative for Step Steel that is getting harder and harder to find, try these out! There is some wear and tear from use, but the runners have lots of life left and are 18mm at the mid-point. They feature a black mirrored coating that keeps your edges sharper and lasting longer than your stock stainless steel. There is some wear on the coating as seen in pictures, but it is fully functional. This steel has been professionally profiled to 10', height-matched, and sharpened to 1/2" - a $50 service! Both blades are matched so both are identical in shape and height, then profiled and sharpened. This service is $50 at my shop but is included with the purchase of this steel. This steel + profiling and sharpening would cost $220 new (view picture #8 for details) but is being sold here for far less. These runners are a huge upgrade over stock steel, especially the terrible Bauer "stainless" model that comes in most of their skates. They will fit in size 263 Lightspeed Edge holders, usually found on size 7-7.5 Bauer skates. However, please double-check your holders before purchase, as some skates may have different holders than stock. Please refer to the last picture more info.
