Bauer RE-AKT Helmet w Titanium Cage - White - Medium

The Bauer RE-AKT Hockey Helmet with Cage is the top of the line helmet combo from Bauer. The RE-AKT helmet features Bauer's new innovative suspended liner, advanced foams, and a Titanium cage. A set-up that delivers a new higher level of protection to the game in a very lightweight package, when compared to any other hockey helmet. Bauer’s Suspend-Tech liner moves independently from the interior liner. During an oblique hit (a hit from an angle, which is common), the suspended liner stays with the head, keeping the pads in the proper place. While the interior liner and shell rotate to absorb and deflect the impact. This process helps protect the brain from excessive movement that can be harmful. Adding to Bauer’s RE-AKT helmet protection is the use of PORON XRD foam, a super light very pliable and breathable material that dissipates extreme force on impact. Bauer uses PORON XRD in the Suspend-Tech liner and in 2 key side impact areas. The rest of the interior liner is constructed of a Vertex foam that offers enhanced impact properties at both high and low energy when compared to the traditional EPP foam. The Vertex foam is also 20% lighter than EPP foam, but just as dense. For adjustments, Bauer has introduced a single tool-free shell adjustment. Quick and easy, located on the top of the helmet, just lift and slide to adjust the 2-piece shell to the correct circumference. To help snug up the helmet, Bauer has introduced the Occipital Lock 3.0.The occipital lock uses a nice spongy foam to help stabilize and lock the back of the head in for a proper fit with maximum comfort. The RE-AKT's cage is made out of Titanium making it 46% lighter than traditional face masks. The oval wiring that Bauer used will reduce the visual obstruction by 20% vs. competitors premium models. Bauer used a triple density free floating chin cup and added in a PORON XRD insert to combine comfort and impact management properties. Sizing: MD / 6 7/8 - 7 1/2 / 21.8" - 23.8" (55.5 - 60.5 cm)
