Boot Construction/Stiffness/Level of Play The one-piece boot is designed for full connection between you and the skate, and the 170 stiffness rating is a bit on the softer side for CCM skates for increased comfort and flexibility. The skates are still stiff and lightweight enough to offer the elite-level skating performance you expect at CCM’s second-highest price point. CCM uses an asymmetrical flex design for the EFlex 6 skate, meaning that the boot collar has been lowered and molded strategically to allow for a deeper flex and more explosive save potential. The boot is made of an RFM composite blend designed to provide NHL-level durability at an extremely light weight. Liner/Internal Padding Same as in the Tacks family, the EFlex 6.9 uses CCM’s premium soft, comfortable TotalDri Pro liner, which wicks moisture to keep your feet dry. The liner has been treated with Polygiene, which is based on silver chloride—a natural antibacterial agent that is integrated into the fabric or material during the manufacturing process. The silver chloride particles bind to the fabric fibres, creating a durable and long-lasting barrier against bacteria growth. Holders & Steel The skates use CCM’s quick-release Speedblade XSG holder with a bladelock system, coupled with Speedblade XSG 10F27. This runner offers a durable edge that sustains performance over time, and its innovative 10F27 profile additionally promotes a forward-leaning goalie stance.
