The materials used in the shell and liner make this mask compete with the top-of-the-line helmets. The shell is built with a fiberglass base, but it features Kevlar in the forehead and chin. Bauer features a “vibration dampening tape” inside the shell which is meant to lessen vibration within the shell during impacts. The foam is is constructed of three VN foam layers, with comfort foam added in pressure zones. A Thermo-Max sweatband works with these foams to provide you great comfortability!
