The blocker carries over many of the features that the Reactor 6000 had, including the maximum frontal and side hand coverage. The 9000 is still ideal for the athletic "battle-fly" goalie. The weight of the board is balanced over the centered hand position, allowing for easier paddle down play, and the flared cuff design optimizes wrist mobility for playing the puck and redirecting shots to the corner. New for 2015 is the Ax Suede Quattro + palm. This new palm has a nicer feel than traditional nash. The Ax Suede is also used on the internal backhand, enhancing comfort in this blocker. The Ax Suede comes in a variety of colors, which allows for further customization and creates unique color combinations throughout the entire blocker.
