The style of the PVE offers a smaller cuff box and a very wide open palm and catching surface making this glove perfect for those who want a natural closure and huge basket to hold pucks. Starting on the backhand of the glove, it has a shorter cuff on the wrist to allow for complete articulation for all postures while still protecting the back of the hand. Inside, there is a unique double wrist strap system which gives the goalie complete freedom to find the tightness they are looking for without squeezing the wrist too tight. The pocket of the glove features a nice and deep Single T which features a unique lacing pattern to create a very soft catch in the pocket. The T is wider at the top of the spine and thins out towards the bottom to create a very nice seal and closure when catching pucks. Visually, the PVE 2019 features a graphic split into two large zones, yet separates them by a “distracting” break similar to what is found on the VE8. With six zones across the face of the PVE 2019 blocker, the goaltender has options to create their own unique look. The PVE 2019 blocker is built off of the base of the VE8 blocker, however there are new updates to the palm and sidewall. First, the board is based off of the VE8 to give the goalie a lighter, balanced feel on the back of the hand. Taken from the SLR2 palm, the PVE 2019 palm has a wraparound style trigger finger on the index finger. This new addition allows for the goaltender to get a better anatomical style grip on the palm, without the worry of the stitching catching against the stick. This new feature will give greater durability over time. Due to the full bindingless face, the PVE 2019 blocker has a very large presentation to the shooter. The HD board on the inside of the blocker helps create high velocity rebounds that shoot off the blocker and in to controlled areas. The sidewall is now reinforced with an HD foam thumb rail to provide extra protection and provide better coverage when sealing the body in the butterfly.
