Brand new - never sharpened. This is a 4mm blade that is machined to fit into the 3mm Vertexx Edge goalie holder. The Vertexx Edge holder only comes in 3mm, so if you want the traditional feel and bite of 4mm steel in your new cowlingless Bauer goalie skates, this is the steel for you.

NOTE 1: This will only fit the Vertexx Edge goalie holder, not the Vertexx cowling or the Lightspeed Edge player holder. Make sure you have the correct holder for this steel.
NOTE 2: Steel must be matched to the holder size, not the boot size. Make sure your holder is stamped as size 10 near the rivets.
NOTE 3: the first production run of Vertexx Edge holders was made without slots for the 3 small spikes in the middle of this blade. If your skate has one of these early run holders, you would need to grind off these 3 spikes before it will fit. Easiest way to tell is to remove your blade and check the holder yourself.
