These shields contain high density molded polyurethane to provide great shock dispersal and durability as the pads are hit with pucks. The kneecap of the VE8 Pro kneepad has suede clarino on one side, and synthetic leather on the other. The synthetic leather on the outside will protect the cap from wear, while the suede clarino will help to hold the kneecap in place during play. Having this much protection and padding makes a large knee pad that has the potential to fall down the knee however.
