Metolius Climbing Co. Crazy Creek Therma Lounger Camp Chair / Foam Sleeping Pad

This listing is for a very rare Metolius Mountain Products / Crazy Creek / Down-to-Earth, Therma Lounger, Hybrid Camp Chair that converts into a 3/4 length Closed Cell Sleeping Pad.  It is in very good condition and works perfectly with no broken buckles, or other issues.  Made between 1990 and 1995, I think. This rad item is made from blue and red heavy duty Ripstop Nylon (a precursor to Gore-Tex) and is super durable, water resistant and tough as nails.  There are (4) Aluminum tent-like-poles that are sewn in, along the sides of the outer shell of the Chair/ Pad, for structural rigidity / integrity, that are not removable.  The cups at the back corners of the poles have rubber reinforcements, where they meet the ground, when you are sitting in the chair.  This is a wear point, and these corners have no abrasion, holes or other issues (please see pictures 14-17). The white closed cell foam is removable so you can wash the Red Nylon Sleeping Pad Cover.  The Foam as well as the Velcro that holds the foam inside the cover, is pristine and mint.Interestingly, this rad item was handmade over 20 years ago in the USA by Metolius Mountain Products Inc., at the Metolius factory in Bend, Oregon.  Apparently, Metolius Climbing Company used to own or to work with Crazy Creek back in the day (please see the tag, picture 24).This Sleeping Pad / Camp Chair is ready to get out of the gear closet and ready go camping today.  Because the pad is closed cell foam, you can sit on some cactus needles, next to the fire, or a sharp stick, and still get a fantastic night sleep under the stars (no air loss).  This super cool, very rare item is stored loose and flat, and not cinched, to protect and preserve it's remarkably excellent condition, so that it can be pulled out of retirement, and used again as a true blast from the past!
