The Riddell Speed is a classic football helmet that has stood the test of time. While it's certainly not the newest option on the market, it's still a solid choice, especially for younger or newer players. Riddell has since released more advanced models like the SpeedFlex and Axiom, which offer superior protection and technology. However, if you're looking for a reliable and affordable helmet, the Speed might be a good fit. Just remember, helmet technology has evolved significantly, so it's essential to prioritize safety when making your decision.
