This home made mat is made from high quality synthetic turf specifically made for turf baseball and softball diamonds. This mat is geared towards 13u players because boxes are about 6x3 feet. It’s perfect for protecting your Home Plate Area From Being Dug out every practice and When wet you can safely take batting practice, it’s Lightweight and Easy To Move Around. It comes with 10 spikes if you plan on leaving in one specific area. I recommend putting a fine sand over the top to way it down or you just match it up the best you can with what I send you…If you’re keeping in one spot use spikes along edges, I recommend sneakers to add longevity but you can also use cleats. (Never metal cleats) Also when the mat fibers begin to roll over because that’s all that will happen after use, all you have to do is add a little sand and use a broom or something with tines to pull it back. The mat has about 2 1/2 inch fibers and you want atleast 1” of sand, preferably 1 3/4”. This will hold fibers up and extend the lifespan of your mat.
