The Bauer Supreme 1S LE hockey stick headlines as the premier model in the next installment of Bauer’s Supreme series line. This LE version adds some spice to any player’s repertoire with a flashy black, grey, and neon orange color-way sure to turn heads. The focus of the Supreme series of sticks from Bauer continues to be about providing maximum power with maximum efficiency in each and every shot. With a new flex profile and proven technology, the Supreme 1S looks to be Bauer’s most explosive stick to date. Perhaps the biggest update made to this Supreme line premieres in the 1S, which features as a new flex profile called Maximum Power Kick or MPK for short. With a lower taper integration, an amplified catapult effect is created to allow the 1S to store 14% more energy and release 20% more of that energy more efficiently. It works by making the taper area stiffer with a new high strength fiber reinforcement, this stiffer lower portion of the shaft combined with a softer upper to the shaft is what pushes the kick point to be even higher. The end result is a 1S stick made much easier to load; perfect for providing maximum power and efficiency in huge slap shots and explosive one-timers. Along with the Maximum Power Kick, Bauer utilized some of its most innovative and well known technologies to really round out the 1S with familiarities such as Monocomp technology. This single molding process which allows Bauer engineers to remove excess material from the construction process keeps the 1S feeling amazing as a true one piece stick, this process also improves the sticks balance, responsiveness, overall weight and performance consistency. Other shared features that are exclusive to Bauer's highest end models are TeXtreme technology and the eLASTech resin system. TeXtreme is a strong carbon fiber that is 20% lighter than conventional carbon, so it reduces weight in the stick without sacrificing strength. In the Supreme 1S, it is in a slick looking gold undertone and is distinctly recognizable by its large checker board-like pattern. Working alongside TeXtreme is eLASTech resin system, a Bauer exclusive resin that enhances durability by adding carbon nano-tube reinforcements that help reduce the spread of micro-fractures and helps extend the life of stick’s pop which keeps it feeling consistently the same over time. Also making its return from the 1S predecessor, the MX3, is the Power Sense Core 2 blade which integrates SENSE layer materials with the TeXtreme carbon fiber to create a well-balanced and lightweight blade while maintaining key dampening attributes. The softer dampened core is meant to extend the time the puck makes contact with the blade, the more contact made, the more energy transfer into the puck which results in pure power in each shot.
