The Vaughn Pro V Elite Carbon leg pads are a limited-edition model of their Velocity series, to be sold by select retailers.
The Pro V Elite is made in Canada with a custom HD foam internal core, and features a specific carbon fiber lay out. Three sheets of carbon fiber are sectioned throughout the length of the pad to function as a recoil that brings the pad back to original shape after being flexed.
The knee rolls have also been flattened to increase linear pad flex and give a more modern aesthetic.
Vaughn has taken the Velcro strapping layout seen on the SLR Pro Carbon leg pads, to precision tune the pad to each goaltender's preference.
In addition, the boot break has been softened to increase pad responsiveness.
The Pro V Elite comes stock with a double internal break and single external break, so the overall feel of the pad is much softer than regular V7 pads.
