The removable and padded waistbelt features one zippered pocket and one gear loop, while the innovative Balance System uses the same two straps on the top of the shoulders to simultaneously adjust, compress, and stabilize the load by pull from the bottom of pack instead of the top. The removable lid features a large main compartment on top and a smaller compartment on the bottom for valuables. When you chuck the lid to save some weight, pull out a cover to protect the top of the pack.
