The Stallion 1K is the top midfielder head for sure. It's based on the original Stallion design that pro player Kyle Harrison used and designed for that two-way midfielder. The 1K has an improved stiffness, shape retention, and an updated scoop. PLL rookie, Nick Nakeie Montgomery, who ranked 28th in Duke history in career points, also uses this head. I like this head because it can be used both on the offensive side of midfield and the defensive side. It weighs in at about 4.7 oz, making it lighter than the current ECD DNA 2.0, StringKing Mark 2V, and Mark 2T.

East Coast Dyes Hero Mesh is one of the first lacrosse stringing meshes built with two different types of fibers woven into the core of the mesh. This technology is able to increase feel and hold, while also developing rigid sides to literally rocket the ball out of the customized pocket. The Weapon X was made to compete with the Nike CEO line and is popular amongst faceoff guys throughout college. The idea is that it will flex the same every single time. So, it won't flex a little bit lower; it won't flex a little bit higher. It will flex in the same spot, holding the same shape with its warp resistance technology. The throat of the head was made to be as pinched as possible without becoming illegal, so right around that 3” requirement.

This head is made with STX’s Reflex material to help hold the shape a lot longer, so you can continue to use it for offense or defense after the face-off. The top of the head has a slimmed-down scoop that’s designed for face-offs and to make ground balls easier. It has a shorter throat to make the top hand position closer to the ball for more control. It has 4 screw holes on the throat to ensure the head doesn’t rattle.
