Cascade XRS Helmet

The Cascade XRS Helmet is built for elite lacrosse players, offering advanced protection with its Tri-Liner system for various impact forces. The Pro Vision mask features an angled second vision bar for better downward visibility, improving ground ball tracking. This helmet combines top-notch protection and vision, showcasing Cascade's commitment to player safety and performance.

Perfect helmet for:
elite players demanding the most advanced protection and performance

Key features include:

Gen4 EPP to absorb high-impact forces in the front of the helmet and NV3 foam for impact absorption across the crown.
The Balance Point Technology positions the center of gravity in the middle crown, promoting a balanced feel and reducing neck strain.
The HardTail SPRfit system, with customizable jaw pads, allows for a 360-degree secure and comfortable fit with on-the-fly micro-adjustments.
PowerPress technology creates a thinner vision bar for better sightlines while maintaining strength.
XFLO ventilation allows cool air to flow through the helmet and out the back, maximizing breathability and keeping players cooler during intense games.

Top Competitors

The Cascade XRS Lacrosse Helmet features a second angled VisionBar for exceptional downward visibility, ideal for ground ball specialists. The Cascade XRS and Cascade S Lacrosse Helmets both feature the most advanced impact absorption technology. The STX Rival offers a good fit and improved ventilation, while also being affordable. The Cascade XRS caters to players who prioritize top-tier protection and better vision.

Progression of the XRS

The XRS is an upgraded version of the popular Cascade S helmet.

The Cascade S introduced the Jawbone, which is a single piece of plastic that extends from the chin back towards the ear and is designed to mitigate impact on the side of the head. The Cascade XRS has doubled down and added another protective plastic stripe that helps distribute impact force. The XRS has also improved the airflow and weight distribution of the helmet and has upgraded their customization options, allowing for five customizable zones resulting in 9.6 million color combinations.

👍 Pros
This helmet provides excellent protection, giving me confidence on the field. No more stingers or headaches since I started using the XRS.
For a high-protection helmet, the XRS is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable. It doesn't weigh me down at all.
I enjoy customizing my helmet with different shells, visors, and chin straps. The XRS allows you to create a helmet that reflects your unique style.
👎 Cons
The XRS helmet is definitely on the pricier side compared to some other helmets available in the market.
Finding the perfect size can be challenging with the XRS due to the unconventional sizing system.
The base model visor may not provide sufficient sun protection for outdoor activities on bright days. If you require better sun protection, you may want to consider purchasing a visor with enhanced UV protection, although this may incur additional costs.
The XRS helmet features the Tri-Liner system that combines multiple foam densities for impact absorption. This might sound heavy, but the XRS is surprisingly lightweight, thanks to the shell design. It distributes weight evenly, so you'll barely notice you have it on, which is a major plus for those long games. Overall, the XRS is a top performer that feels light and secure, letting you focus on your game without worrying about your helmet.
