Top Competitors

The Vapor FlyLite prioritizes maneuverability with its lightweight build, making it ideal for quick plays and agile puck handling. The HZRDUS PX takes lightweight construction to the extreme, sacrificing some raw power for better puck feel and quick releases. If you want balanced power and responsiveness, the Trigger 7 is a strong choice. For an agile powerhouse, the Vapor FlyLite excels. And if superior puck control and finesse are your priority, the HZRDUS PX might be the perfect fit.

Progression of the CCM Ribcore Trigger 7

The Ribcor Trigger 7 was preceded by the Ribcor Trigger 6. The Trigger 7 features a few upgrades over its predecessor:

  • Blade: The Trigger 7 features CCM’s agility blade with peel-ply which enhances puck control and quick releases.
  • Skeleton+ technology: This improves strength in the hosel and taper areas to create an overall stronger stick.
  • Advanced carbon matrix: This new carbon weave enhances stick strength and durability while maintaining the stick’s light weight.
👍 Pros
After a decade playing hockey, I only buy Triggers. The 7 does not disappoint.
Great stick, great control. My son loves the feel and durability.
My shooting is way more accurate with the 7. Good power. Handles well. Love the glove feel too.
👎 Cons
After one week the stick cracked where the shaft and blade transition.
Have gone through 2 of these sticks in 1 week. Both sticks broke in the same location.
Not my favorite for feel. I am going to try another CCM stick next time.
The Trigger 7 features a low kickpoint and a stiff toe, giving it a quick release and powerful shot. The rounded corners and concave sidewalls on the forehand and convex sidewalls on the backhand provide a comfortable grip and good energy transfer. The stiff toe is awesome for players who shoot from a distance or have a hard slap shot. Super durable, I highly recommend this stick.
