You can really dig in and get that power and still go with the angles.

This skate is intended for people who skate about once a week and are not super competitive. It'll hold up. If you skate ten times a week with these skates, they will only last you a little while, maybe a month or two. However, the main thing is that there is no quick or easy release for the metal runners or the blades. Many players look for skates with a metal release, which will let them swap out their blades. The more you sharpen them, the thinner they get. And in this case, you'd have to replace the whole bottom, the holder. It's more intensive than just clicking a button and adding new blades. But really, a solid skate for those who don’t skate every day.

* The AS-V is out of this world for comfort in the wide. They have fixed the low volume and the toe cap so no longer rubbing on the top of the foot. I knew these were great as soon as I put them on. I’m glad I didn't settle for the other skates and waited for these to come out. 

CONS:



* For sure a longer break-in period due to the stiffness of the boot. I had some ankle soreness during the first few weeks of use.
* The AS-V skates don't offer as many customization options as some other high-end models. The liner is not fully heat-moldable like some other skates. 
* I am worried about the blade holder system. They come with plastic insert. Took out and tried to put in V-Steel. Could not get to go in.

The AS-V offers a close, professional fit, and a lot of power. I really love the quick acceleration. The number one thing with this skate is comfort. The padding really secures the ankle and foot while keeping the flexibility to turn and move. It's a great skate if you don't really need the pro-level durability because you might only be skating on the weekends, but you still want something decent.

The AS3 Pro is a carbon composite one-piece boot. It's a higher-level skate with a premium liner for moisture wicking, an interchangeable, custom-fitting tongue, and an improved blade lock system that secures the blade to the holder. Swapping out blades is super easy. The AS3 will have a more anatomical, snug fit. It has good heel locking, giving you reall good acceleration and power.

These jets are among the most stylish looking skates on the market right now, and are recommended for elite level players. The black runner steel is a crowd favorite, because it holds an edge longer than standard steel tends to. You can clearly see when there are nicks in the blade, so it won’t be hard for you to figure out when they need to be replaced. These blades are also incredibly lightweight, and you’ll notice this right away when you pick them up. As you would expect with a top-of-the-line boot, they’re very stiff. For starters, RibCor 50K skates feature the black steel that holds an edge very well and has great longevity between sharpens. The boot will feel pretty stiff the first time you wear these, but overall these skates hold up very well overtime -- especially nice, given their average price point. Pump technology is also a nice feature of 50K skates. CCM’s Advanced Pump allows you to control the amount of air that’s circulated into the air bladders around your ankles on your skates. This helps lock in your heel by eliminating negative space and providing you the option to customize your fit. In addition, The RibCor 50K has a tapered fit in the ankle and a slightly narrower design around the heel and the forefoot compared to the Tacks and RBZ lines from CCM.
