The CCM Ribcor 50K skate features advanced technology and a sleek design. Most notable is the Advanced Pump Technology that allows for a customized fit. The pump can be used to adjust the fit of your skates mid-game, to help keep your skates snug yet comfortable. The Ribcor Elite boot construction is made from a Carbon Composite that keeps the skate lightweight, without compromising ankle protection. The heat-moldable interior dual liner is a Tacky Nash with Clarino providing cool, dry comfort while the Tri-Guard Tongue offers protection from heavy impacts. The SpeedBlade 4.0 holder is 4mm higher than traditional CCM models, which provides more power and facilitates explosive turns. The SpeedBlade black runner offers a long edge life and reduces drag.

Expert Notes

For starters, RibCor 50K skates feature the black steel that holds an edge very well and has great longevity between sharpens. The boot will feel pretty stiff the first time you wear these, but overall these skates hold up very well overtime -- especially nice, given their average price point. Pump technology is also a nice feature of 50K skates. CCM’s Advanced Pump allows you to control the amount of air that’s circulated into the air bladders around your ankles on your skates. This helps lock in your heel by eliminating negative space and providing you the option to customize your fit. In addition, The RibCor 50K has a tapered fit in the ankle and a slightly narrower design around the heel and the forefoot compared to the Tacks and RBZ lines from CCM.
