Progression of the Bauer Supreme S37
The Bauer Supreme S37 hockey skate, unlike some higher-end models in the Supreme line, doesn't have a clear-cut predecessor with a distinct model name. Here’s why:
- The Supreme line generally caters to players who prioritize power and control for their skating style. The S37 falls within a category of performance-oriented skates positioned below the top-of-the-line models like the 3S Pro.
-
Bauer makes minor adjustments and refinements to existing lines throughout their production cycle. These tweaks often involve material changes, padding updates, or minor holder/blade variations.

These skates are perfect for players who are new to hockey or looking to upgrade from a recreational model. |
The S37 fits true to size and feels comfortable right out of the box. The memory foam ankle padding provides good support, and the liner is surprisingly comfortable. |
Really good construction for the price. The materials feel solid! |

Baking shortened break-in, but only made the boot wider by a bit. |
After baking and sharpening they've grown on me. But still super tight around the middle of the foot. |
The stock stainless steel blade isn't the best quality. It doesnt hold an edge for as long as some higher-end options. |
The S37 features an anatomical fit for a lot of power. It won't have the Space Age memory foam designed by NASA or something, but it will be comfortable. It may feel heavier than the top lightweight pro model, but it's more than enough to last quite a while. It's still a strong skate. And that's common with a lot of skates these days. There's not a ton of difference between the mid-end and the top-end skates. What really separates them is durability and the exact type of comfort features.
