DeMarini CF

The DeMarini CF Fastpitch Softball Bat is an excellent choice for players seeking a bat with a large sweet spot and balanced swing weight. Its Paraflex Plus Composite Barrel ensures consistent contact and helps generate bat speed for added power. Overall, it’s a versatile bat that can enhance the performance of players at any skill level.

Perfect bat for:
Hitters who love a smooth feel, a big barrel, and a light swing.

Key features include:

Paraflex Plus Composite BarrelDesigned to create a massive sweet spot for consistent contact and maximum power. Different years may use a -8 or -11 drop weight.
Two-Piece CompositeHelps to create a balanced swing weight for faster bat speed.
CF ConnectionAims to reduce vibration in the hands, which can help to improve bat control and power (name differs based on the model year).
ReAction End CapIncrease the size of the sweet spot without sacrificing swing weight.
Balanced Swing WeightThis makes the bat feel lighter in the hands and easier to swing, which can help generate bat speed.

Top Competitors

The Easton Ghost softball bat is known for its large sweet spot and focus on power-hitting. Similar to the DeMarini CF, it uses a composite material barrel and caters to fastpitch softball players. The 2022 Easton Ghost Advanced is a popular choice and often ranks highly in bat reviews. The Louisville Slugger LXT prioritizes durability alongside performance. While the DeMarini CF and Easton Ghost might offer a slightly larger sweet spot, the LXT might be a better choice for players who value a bat that can withstand wear and tear.

Progression of the DeMarini CF Bat

For DeMarini, CF, or Continuous Fiber Composite Technology, first made its way into Fastpitch Softball in 2007 as a multi-piece hybrid bat. The barrel was long, the sweet spot seemingly never-ending, and the swing felt natural.

2008 - DeMarini CF

DeMarini released the first CF baseball bat. Boasting a red and black colorway.

Continuous Evolution

The DeMarini CF underwent continuous evolution and refinement with launches of the CF3, CF4, CF5, and beyond.

2017 - CF Zen

As composite bats continued to grow in popularity, DeMarini shifted its focus with the CF towards a fully composite construction, leading to the introduction of the CF Zen

👍 Pros
This bat has been great for my 8-year-old. It has increased her bat speed because it’s more balanced and has a nice pop.
Bat has great pop. I’m very happy with this bat so far. Great bat for players of all ages.
This is a good bad for players working on their swing. Nice and balanced.
👎 Cons
The bat broke in half during a tournament. Snapped just like a wooden bat on a Major League Batter who got jammed.
The bat broke in half after 2 months but worked fine up until then.
There is minor cracking near the handle connection. Only last a few months.
The CF is all about making it easy to swing. The composite material is super lightweight, so young players won't get tired at the plate. This lighter swing translates to faster bat speed, which means those young hitters can start generating some power. The CF is a good option for younger players who are transitioning from lighter bats to something with more pop. It's good for those who are still developing their swing and want a lightweight bat that allows them to focus on bat control and hitting mechanics.
