The Warrior Regulator 2 helmet was ahead of it’s time when it was released. The helmet uses top-of-the-line automotive head protection technology which has been implemented throughout the entirety of the helmet. Warrior’s Viconic energy absorption system gives linear and rotational impact protection. The interior lining conforms to the head while staying suspended away from the exterior shell of the helmet. On the back of the helmet there is a Warfit adjustable system that allows easy adjustment to fit anyone. The face mask of the helmet gives shape and protection that allows the energy from impact to be relocated to the back of the helmet without damage to the player.
Expert Notes
When it was first released, the Warrior Regulator 2 was one of the most popular helmets on the market. Even to this day, a lot of pro lacrosse players can still be seen wearing it because of its unique sizing. The helmet features two main sizes: Small/Medium and Large/Extra Large. These two options were designed to fit all types of heads, no matter what size player tried it on. The Regulator 2 features a WarFit construction that makes up the shell and the liner. The reason why this lid is still used so frequently by college level players is because they cannot fit into today's modern sized helmets -- they’re heads are just too big! As a result, they have to resort back to old school style helmets such as the Regulator 2. The good news? This lid is legal for all levels of play, and meets all NOCSAE standards.
