* These skates are incredible! Super lightweight and feels responsive, which is exactly what I was looking for in a skate for quick cuts and accelerations. My strides feel really explosive.
* The fit on these skates is spot on. I went with the medium width and it feels like an extension of my foot. The SpeedBlade XS steel gives me some of the best edge control I've ever had.
* Big difference from my old skates. The ankle support in the JetSpeeds is top-notch. I feel really locked in and stable on my edges.

CONS:



* Less durable than expected for the price. The lining around the ankle already shows some signs of wear after just a couple of months of use. 

 



* I found the break-in period for these skates to be a bit longer than usual.  It took a good few weeks before they started to feel comfortable.
* These skates felt a bit too stiff for me, especially in the forefoot area. It restricted my toe flexion a bit and made it harder to get a good push-off. Maybe better suited for a more powerful skater than myself.

This skate is intended for people who skate about once a week and are not super competitive. It'll hold up. If you skate ten times a week with these skates, they will only last you a little while, maybe a month or two. However, the main thing is that there is no quick or easy release for the metal runners or the blades. Many players look for skates with a metal release, which will let them swap out their blades. The more you sharpen them, the thinner they get. And in this case, you'd have to replace the whole bottom, the holder. It's more intensive than just clicking a button and adding new blades. But really, a solid skate for those who don’t skate every day.

* For sure a longer break-in period due to the stiffness of the boot. I had some ankle soreness during the first few weeks of use.
* The AS-V skates don't offer as many customization options as some other high-end models. The liner is not fully heat-moldable like some other skates. 
* I am worried about the blade holder system. They come with plastic insert. Took out and tried to put in V-Steel. Could not get to go in.

The AS-V offers a close, professional fit, and a lot of power. I really love the quick acceleration. The number one thing with this skate is comfort. The padding really secures the ankle and foot while keeping the flexibility to turn and move. The tongue has a funky design, but it allows you to get a full range of motion without feeling insecure in the skate or like it's going to fall off or wobble.

It's a great skate if you don't really need the pro-level durability because you might only be skating on the weekends, but you still want something decent.

Swapping out blades is super easy. The AS3 will have a more anatomical, snug fit. It has good heel locking, giving you reall good acceleration and power.

The boot is slightly taller for increased ankle support and the re-designed toe cap adds comfortable protection. The interior TotalDri Pro Dual-Zone Liner keeps feet dry and skates light while DuraZone Abrasion Resistance Pads provide grip, securing the foot and providing protection against abrasions. CCM OrthoMove Custom Support Insoles allow a personalized fit and increased energy transfer while a re-designed TriTech Flex tongue with injected foam offers mobile protection. The SpeedBlade 4.0 Holder has a triangular design for optimum balance and energy transfer while SB Black Runners have an oxide coating that helps the steel stay sharper longer without corroding.

These jets are among the most stylish looking skates on the market right now, and are recommended for elite level players. The black runner steel is a crowd favorite, because it holds an edge longer than standard steel tends to. You can clearly see when there are nicks in the blade, so it won’t be hard for you to figure out when they need to be replaced. These blades are also incredibly lightweight, and you’ll notice this right away when you pick them up. As you would expect with a top-of-the-line boot, they’re very stiff. AS1 skates also don’t have an outsole, so this combined with the stiffness allows for unreal foot control.
