The Trueform Tech PU boot with X-Rib pattern is heat moldable and super stiff for increased support and protection. The one-piece injected heel and ankle core offer increased stability and durability, while the interior Hydrophobic Microfiber liner wicks away moisture and keeps the foot dry. Anaform foam padding protects the ankle while a two-piece felt tongue with injected high-density foam offers protection from impacts and lace bite. Tuuk LightSpeed Edge Holders and Tuuk LightSpeed Super Stainless Steel runners are lightweight and offer a tool-less removal system for quick blade changes.

Expert Notes

The main thing regarding the X500 is the lack of stiffness throughout the boot relative to some of the higher end vapor models. For someone skating 1-2 times per week, they work quite well and are priced on the lower end of the spectrum, which is ideal if you’re on a budget. The low level of boot stiffness does allow for greater comfort initially, and they are super easy to break in and get used to. The entire line of Vapor skates has always been a good looking line of skates as well, as they all tend to stick to the all-black boot with red detailing.
