Progression of the Hyperlite:

The Bauer Hyperlite is the first generation of its kind. It was introduced as a lightweight, high-performance helmet with innovative features.

The most recent model is the Hyperlite 2. This updated version incorporates GX-Pod padding, an Occipital Lock, and a DCT liner to enhance protection, comfort, and fit further.

👍 Pros
Lightweight, good padding where it matters. The new adjustments for width and length make this a real winner.
I love that the Hyperlite is super adjustable. There is a release on top and one on each side that allows for super easy, tool-free adjustment.
Way more adjustable than prior Bauer helmets. I don’t feel like I’m wearing a helmet at all. There are no pressure points. It dries fast.
👎 Cons
This helmet was great when we first purchased it, but 6 months later the pads inside the helmet started falling off.
The head size adjustments are nice, but the padding is of low quality for such an expensive price tag.
The helmet is light, but I expected the green foam to be softer. Instead it feels hard and uncomfortable on my head.
The Hyperlite is for the elite player looking for every possible edge. This helmet is ridiculously light without sacrificing protection. Bauer’s new Shock Light liner absorbs impacts while offering a snug cradle that feels like it’s custom fit to your head. If you're seeking that pro-level feel and need every ounce of advantage on the ice, the Hyperlite is worth every penny.
