Marucci CAT9 Connect Baseball Bats
The Marucci CAT 9 Connect is designed for hitters who prefer an end-loaded feel and enhanced power. It features a multi-stage-treated AZR alloy barrel paired with a carbon composite handle, creating a large sweet spot. The stiffer connection reduces vibration and maximizes power, while the end-loaded swing weight helps generate bat speed for crushing pitches.
Key features include:
Two-Piece Hybrid Construction | Combines a carbon composite handle with an AZR alloy barrel for a reduced vibration and a more controlled swing. |
Outer-Locking System (OLS) | Enhances stiffness and energy transfer by creating a tighter connection between the barrel and handle. |
AZR Alloy Barrel | Engineered for increased responsiveness and durability. |
Power-Loaded Barrel | Tailored for power hitters, providing an end-loaded swing weight that enhances force without compromising bat speed. |
Micro-Perforated Soft-Touch Grip | Ensures tack and cushion for improved handling and reduced hand fatigue. |
Professionally Inspired Handle | Features a removable taper and an ergonomic knob shape. |
Top Competitors
The Marucci CAT9 Connect prioritizes power with a large sweet spot and end-loaded swing weight for strong hitters. The DeMarini Voodoo offers a balanced swing weight and a composite construction for a smoother feel. The Louisville Slugger Select PWR boasts a massive sweet spot with a stiff handle technology for power and control, but the swing weight might be slightly less balanced. Consider your hitting style: pure power with a heavier swing weight (Marucci), a balanced approach with a comfortable swing (DeMarini), or a large sweet spot with some trade-off in swing weight (Louisville Slugger).

Well balanced, no shock, decent pop. It doesn’t rattle my hands. Very pleased for the price. |

I purchased this bat for my 9-year-old son to use in little league. Sadly, it did not last long and got cracked in the same weak spot as many other bats. |
The bat snapped in half. Disappointed! |
This bat swings a bit heavy. Not great for my style. |
The CAT9 Connect is going to be in the same market as the Select Power, The Goods, and the Voodoo. It's a two-piece hybrid alloy barrel with a composite handle. It's a top-three bat for me. Very good performer and very popular. Just a great overall product.
