* My son loves the 30", 5oz Easton Fire bat. It's hot straight out of the wrapper and feels lighter than his old one. The colors are bold but the grip is great. It has a normal composite bat sound and a well-balanced swing with a lot of pop. Highly recommended.
* My son switched to Easton Hype Fire bat after being a fan of Marucci for years. He loves the huge sweet spot, lighter weight and tons of pop. According to him, it's the perfect bat for USSSA.
* I love to see the confidence this bat gives my son. He's a very strong hitter, but with this bat, I see him being more patient, trusting his swing more, and hitting harder balls.

* My son used this bat for about 2-3 months before small cracks in the bat started to form. He still used it because his old bat (30-inch -8 Demarini Zoa) was broken. It is an amazing bat but it probably won't last a full season in 13U baseball because of the speed.
* My son's new bat, a 30" (-8), has a small 1/2" crack after just two sessions of coach pitch BP with around 50 hits. It's brittle and we've never used it on a tee or machine. I'm surprised at how quickly it broke.
* I wish they were made stronger. It has great pop, great swing but the durability is lacking. Our original purchase cracked in a month and our replacement cracked in 2 months.

The Hype Fire is the hottest, lightest swinging bat right now. The swing rate is very fast. It's a balanced, two piece composite bat. The first ones that came out had some breakage issues but they are now on that bat's second gen. We've not seen any of the new ones breaking. And to top it all off, it has the coolest paint job. The flames are yellow, orange, and red. The players love that.

The Easton ADV 360 is a two-piece composite bat. It has a light swing and big barrel. Perfect for the younger hitter. I think it is popular because of the paint job, which is bright neon yellow. It is more of a look than a performance bat, but still a very good bat that doesn’t have a huge amount of breakage. It's an average bat for either Little League or USSSA.

The Easton ADV1 is a great entry-level bat that performs at a high level for USABat Certification. A composite bat that is a balanced lightweight bat that will perform for any hitter contact or power. For someone who is required to use USABat Certification this bat is going to be great for those higher-level players within USABat certification. The lightweight composite allows all kids to have the confidence to compete with the better pitchers who may throw faster.

Endurance is the name of the game when it comes to Easton’s Mako bat series. Despite being discontinued in 2017, Easton Mako bats continue to sell very well in the modern market. This two-piece composite bat offers an additional jolt of pop at the plate, and its anti-vibration technology makes getting jammed a little less painful—physically, at least. The 2016 Easton Mako, in particular, has ascended into baseball bat folklore because of its neon green colorway and insane ability to demolish baseballs (although some hitters prefer the orange 2015 model, too). Considering the fantastic prices you can find Easton Mako’s listed at, it remains a top metal bat value pick.

The Easton ADV Hype metal bat series is a batting average’s best friend. Considering
the success of older ADV Hype models, it’s surprising to see that the 2022 ADV Hype
release features a different barrel, handle, and connection piece than those earlier
versions. But the rave reviews make it clear that these
updates were well-received. Still older ADV Hype models have a lot to offer
hitters, too. The one throughline is the balanced and
lightweight feel. 

Regardless of which model of this bat you prefer,
one swing should convince you that the Hype is real.

This USA bat is designed for little league or a pony leagues. It won't be a very high-performance bat and, in general, is designed for safety. Typically, your little leaguer, who uses the USA stamp, is a player at an entry-level ability. With that said, the Ghost X Hyperlite was one of the best available USA bats. But any USA bat is going to be a mediocre performer overall. The Ghost X Hyperlite is very lightweight and very easy to swing. Smaller players do well with it.

Although Easton’s Ghost X bat series was discontinued in 2019, it continues to haunt pitchers (including me). Power hitters in particular rave about how big the two-piece, composite Ghost X bat’s barrel is while not sacrificing swing speed, which leads to smashing balls on the sweet spot. The most recent 2019 Ghost X evolved from older Ghost models by allowing for very little vibration when you hitters out there get jammed on a filthy inside fastball. The natural evolution from Easton’s legendary Mako bat series, their Ghost X bat line is still highly sought after by hitters of all ages and skill levels. And since a Ghost X bats’ power doesn’t diminish over time, you hitters should expect a power boost when wielding this Easton stick at the dish.

Easton’s XL1 bat series retired while it was still on top—but that doesn’t mean these
bats should stop seeing steady use. The most recent Easton XL1 release was in 2015,

The Easton Mako Beast is proof that some bats surpass their expected expiration date.
Released in 2017, this Easton model offers a deadly combo of a light swing and a big
barrel to create a terrifying bat for we pitchers. The two-piece, composite Mako Beast
evolved from Easton’s legendary Mako bat series (my favorite metal bat of all time), but was updated to include a longer barrel than the original Mako. Aside from that, not
much else has changed between older Mako models and the 2018 Mako Beast (not
including this bat’s sweet black matte colorway with grey accents). Although Easton has
released a number of excellent metal bats over the years, many hitters 
consider the 2017 Beast Mako to be one of their all-time best. And if you use this bat, you
might reach your peak, as well.

The 2018 Beast X is another stellar addition to the Easton metal bat family. It achieved a sort of cult status upon its release due to it being one of the lightest one piece alloy bats available—and many baseball players (me included) really love the highlighter yellow colorway it came with. In my opinion, it’s the best looking metal bat that Easton bat ever made. The Beast X evolved from Easton’s Z-Core line of bats, although it adds a lizard skin grip and lighter swing speed that the Z-Core models didn’t have. If you don’t want to break the bank on a balanced, lightweight, aesthetically pleasing bat, consider the Easton Beast X this season.

### Product Description

### Expert Notes

The 2016 Easton Z-Core is a single-piece aluminum alloy bat with a balanced swing. The Z-Core, not to be confused with the Z-Core Torq or Z-Core XL, incorporates an internal composite reinforcement along the length of its barrel. This gives the bat a considerably large barrel for a single-piece alloy. Easton often refers to this as ‘Mako-izing’ the bat which is a reference to the Easton Mako’s large barrel size.

* This bat has a fantastic feel, sound, and performance on miss-hits. It boasts one of the largest sweet spots in BBCOR. Although it lacks feedback, it is very easy to swing.
* Great feel and pop. Although I usually change grips, the stock grip on this bat is solid. The durability is very impressive as well, as the bat has already outlasted most others.
* No failures on Meta bats except cosmetic chips. They perform better than new. High school varsity team used 32-3 for 2 years without issues. Change grip tape yearly and keep hitting!

The CF Zen has been discontinued. The early models from 2017 - 2021 were called CF Zens. After that, DeMarini changed the name to CF. The first models of the CF Zen were very high-performance. The early models were better performers than the later models.

* A kid in a slump hit his first-ever home run with this bat. It arrived just in time for a playoff game and worked great for my average-sized 11-year-old son - not too heavy.
* After breaking in this bat properly, it really performs well! My son uses it for our USSSA 8U Travel team and you can easily tell when it's hit on the sweet spot. The bat is also forgiving on mis-hits, often resulting in faster grounders than usual (for this age group) and very high pop.
* This bat has more pop than most USA bats, similar to BBCOR/USSA. We broke it in with tee hits, and my son hit missiles and balls over the fence on the first day. Expensive, but worth it for avid players.

* This is an excellent one-piece bat with a balanced feel.
* My son is using his first BBCOR bat. Although he was previously using a -5 USSSA bat, he hasn't noticed any difference in the weight. He has already had success with it on the big ball field this fall. This one-piece alloy bat is great, especially in the Northeast where temperatures are cooler.
* I am very satisfied with this bat. My son has recently started playing on a 60/90 field. This bat has excellent balance and a large sweet spot. It has great pop right out of the wrapper, so there is no need to break it in. Additionally, it looks great too.

* Decent pop and has good barrel control. It seems lighter due to the way it;s balanced. If you’re thinking of moving up in size, do it with this bat.
* I got my son the CAT X BBCOR 33" bat. He chose it over his Voodoo One for his high school varsity games. The CAT X seems well-built, and other players using it have had no issues. In contrast, two of his teammates' Voodoo One bats have already broken this season.
* The grip is cushioned and comfortable. The liquid gel handle reduces vibrations and the "sweet spot" on the barrel is forgiving. Highly recommend this bat.

* The BBCOR Cat X is by far the worst Marucci we've ever bought. It has NO Pop and sounds like he's hitting rocks with the bat. The ball barely leaves the infield when he hits it. 
* Broken in by underhand toss of 160 pitches. Handle broke in a week. Wearing gloves saved the my son's hands.
* Unfortunately my son has been using this bat for only a few weeks and there is already something rattling in the handle.

CATX came out in 2023. The first gen is a white ribbon silver bat. For the second run, Marucci came out with a version called the CATX Vanta. It's a blacked-out, limited-edition. The CAT X Composite is very, very easy to swing. Not quite as popular as the CF in terms of performance. There are newer Marucci bats out there that are stronger, hotter-performing bats. But it's still a top top-tier bat. It's right up there with the CAT9 composite, but it doesn't get the notoriety because you've got some newer bats on the market with cooler paint jobs.

They took the same design from the CAT8 and strengthened the CAT9 with a stronger alloy to avoid any denting issues. It's a very good, durable bat. The CAT9 will be a bit heavier than the CAT8; it's a better bat for stronger kids. The first generation of the CAT9 came out with a gray, black, and red paint job. The second generation they called the Past Time, which was red, white, and blue. It's the same bat, but a different paint job. The second bat was more popular simply because of how it looked. Everyone likes the American Flag with its Stars and Stripes.

You have a tiny market share that uses it; the popularity isn't as strong as the two piece simply because The Goods One Piece seems to rattle. If you don't hit it in the barrel's sweet spot, you can get a little feedback in the hands, a slight vibration. The Goods two-piece has a damper built in, so if you didn't hit it just right, it absorbed some of that vibration, whereas the one-piece doesn't have that technology. \

The CAT9 Composite comes in two designs across two generations. The first, released in 2021, is gray, black, and red. And then it came out in red, white, blue, and gray. The first model was a more powerful, higher-performing bat. It has more exit velocity and is a hotter bat than the 2nd gen. Very durable, with very little breakage. Marucci's, across the board, have been good bats in terms of quality; they seem to last. Whether you're a power hitter or a small kid, the CAT9 Composite does very well.

**PROS**



* I am pleased to say that my son has experienced an increased exit speed and longer distances. He has noticed that the bat has an expanded sweet spot, resulting in more comfortable hits with less sting.
* My son had a few mishits but the ball still came off decently, and he mentioned that there was no vibration. I would recommend this bat, especially for younger kids who are improving their skills but still want success.
* A go-to choice when under pressure. It has a large sweet spot, providing a ton of power. The bat is also easy to swing and consistently achieves a higher exit velocity off the tee compared to a Cat9 alloy and 23' meta.

**CONS**



* I purchased the -8 version, which has a small sweet spot. The knob is great, but the grip is not as effective. 
* If you are still 11, I suggest you get the drop ten because it has a bigger sweet spot and more pop due to its smaller aluminum content. Overall, it's a nice medium-swinging -8! 
* I was unaware that this bat was the Junior version and only recommended for Coach Pitch.

The CAT8 is an older model from 2019 and a good BBCOR and USSSA bat. Very good performing bat with a sound that players love. Lightweight and easy to swing. It's probably one of the best sellers, and since the CAT8 is still available, it's perhaps one of the better bang for the buck. Prices dropped for this older model. So, it is a good match for an entry-level player on a tight budget.
