The Stallion 1K is the top midfielder head for sure. It's based on the original Stallion design that pro player Kyle Harrison used and designed for that two-way midfielder. The 1K has an improved stiffness, shape retention, and an updated scoop. PLL rookie, Nick Nakeie Montgomery, who ranked 28th in Duke history in career points, also uses this head. I like this head because it can be used both on the offensive side of midfield and the defensive side. It weighs in at about 4.7 oz, making it lighter than the current ECD DNA 2.0, StringKing Mark 2V, and Mark 2T.

The throat of the head was made to be as pinched as possible without becoming illegal, so right around that 3” requirement.

The big selling point is that it's 20 grams lighter than the previous model and has an upgraded rail system. The material makes it a stiffer head, and it helps the head retain its shape in high-heat environments. It has an updated scoop to make ground balls that much easier.

* I like this head - it's light and performs great. But, it's too fragile. I've had two breaks in 8 months at the throat. If it were more durable, it'd be the best ever.
* Used this new lacrosse head in college practice and after 7-8 months it cracked near the throat. Love the color and design but not perfect yet.
* It's been working okay for me. Was not easy at first to string the right pocket.

Easily one of the all-time most popular heads, the Eclipse head by STX is used by a majority of goalies at all levels of the game. One of the main reasons why it’s so popular is because it has one of the widest face shapes compared to the other goalie heads on the market. This larger size helps with just about everything a goalie does: clearing, catching, saving, and passing. Even though it's got the widest area, it's still a very accurate head when strung correctly.
