The Gait Torque is a throwback offensive head designed for the sport’s top midfielders. It’s legal at the NFHS and youth levels too, so it’s also a great choice for beginner players looking for a strong and durable offensive head. The head is the first from Gait to feature Gait Canted Technology, specifically designed to maximize offset by gradually lowering the bottom rail. The bottom rail is also flattened to optimize pocket customization near the throat and top of the head. The head also features a flat, stiff scoop to provide great stiffness and durability on ground balls. The head also features inside rib support to create unmatched strength and stiffness by adding more plastic to the piece in between the upper and lower sidewall.

One of Gait’s best known heads to date is the Torque. It's also one of the most advanced heads of its time, featuring "Gait Canted Technology." This head has one of the most curved scoops in the game. Ground balls with the Torque are a breeze, thanks to the deep angle of the scoop. The Stallion 1K is the top midfielder head for sure. It's based on the original Stallion design that pro player Kyle Harrison used and designed for that two-way midfielder. The 1K has an improved stiffness, shape retention, and an updated scoop. PLL rookie, Nick Nakeie Montgomery, who ranked 28th in Duke history in career points, also uses this head. I like this head because it can be used both on the offensive side of midfield and the defensive side. It weighs in at about 4.7 oz, making it lighter than the current ECD DNA 2.0, StringKing Mark 2V, and Mark 2T.
