PROS:



* The one-piece boot and carbon construction are super stiff and really transfer energy into your strides. My slapshot has gotten noticeably harder since I switched to these skates. Plus, the Powerflex tendon allows for a full range of motion for powerful strides.
* By far the most comfortable skate/boot I've ever put my feet into...like warm melted butter.
* For a high-performance stiff boot, these skates are surprisingly lightweight and maneuverable. The Step Steel blades are sharp and give you excellent edge control. They helped me improve my agility on the ice.

* These skates are definitely at the top end of the price range. They're a great skate, but you're paying for the premium features and performance.
* These are very stiff skates designed for powerful strides. They require a lot of leg strength to use effectively.

The AS-V Pro offers a close, professional fit, and a lot of power. I really love the quick acceleration. The number one thing with this skate is comfort. The padding really secures the ankle and foot while keeping the flexibilityity to turn and move. The tongue has a funky design, but it allows you to get a full range of motion without feeling insecure in the skate or like it's going to fall off or wobble.

The one-piece heat moldable boot is constructed with a layered Premier Carbon Composite and MonoFrame 360 One-Piece Technology that improves durability and transfers power more efficiently for stronger strides. The boot is slightly taller for increased ankle support and the re-designed toe cap adds comfortable protection. The interior TotalDri Pro Dual-Zone Liner keeps feet dry and skates light while DuraZone Abrasion Resistance Pads provide grip, securing the foot and providing protection against abrasions. CCM OrthoMove Custom Support Insoles allow a personalized fit and increased energy transfer while a re-designed TriTech Flex tongue with injected foam offers mobile protection. These jets are among the most stylish looking skates on the market right now, and are recommended for elite level players. The black runner steel is a crowd favorite, because it holds an edge longer than standard steel tends to. You can clearly see when there are nicks in the blade, so it won’t be hard for you to figure out when they need to be replaced. These blades are also incredibly lightweight, and you’ll notice this right away when you pick them up. As you would expect with a top-of-the-line boot, they’re very stiff. AS1 skates also don’t have an outsole, so this combined with the stiffness allows for unreal foot control.
