* These skates are definitely on the expensive side.
* With their high-performance focus, these skates are very stiff.  While that's great for powerful strides, it might be too much for beginner players. A stiffer boot can be harder to control and maneuver.
* I had a hard time finding these skates in my size.

One of the things that makes the 2X Pro great is how light it feels. It's an extremely lightweight boot that is also really durable. It's a predecessor to what you see in the HyperLite these days. Very durable but also very light. So the 2X Pro is perfect for agility, cutting back and forth across the ice. And, it still has good power. At the professional level, some NHL players use the 2X Pro and have no issues. It’s a skate that will last you. Mine are still fine to play in even after years. It's a skate built to last.

PROS:



* Amazing skates for agility! These skates are incredible for forwards who value quick turns and sharp cuts. The one-piece boot flex makes a huge difference in how much you can push into your strides. They are also very comfortable, even after long practices. Highly recommend!
* These skates are super light and feel very responsive on the ice. The BlackSteel blades are sharp and give you a great bite. My skating has gotten a lot more dynamic since I switched to these.
* I was surprised at how affordable these skates were compared to other high-end models. They don't skimp on quality at all. The fit is great and the liner keeps my feet dry.

CONS:



* The break-in period for these skates was a bit longer than I expected. My ankles were pretty sore for the first few weeks.
* These skates run a bit narrow. If you have wide feet, you might want to try a different model.
* Lacing system could be better. The laces that come with the skates are kind of flimsy. I had to replace them with a higher quality pair.

This skate is exceptionally good at quickly cutting tight areas and getting a precise feel on the ice instead of just going fast. It has exceptional agility, comfort, and a flexible feel.
