PROS:



* The 3D-lasted flex composite boot provides a good amount of stiffness while still maintaining some flexibility for maneuverability. The skate feels very responsive.
* The fit on the Supreme 3S is a major improvement over my previous skates. The Performance Fit System with the hydrophobic microfiber liner feels super comfortable. The break-in period was reasonable, and there weren't any major pressure points.
* I had no issues with them. There was no lace bite like in my Vapors, and there was no rubbing in the toe cap. They literally feel like slippers on my feet.

CONS:



* This skate is not meant for a wide foot! After 45 minutes, I wanted to get off the ice; it took me up to 2 hours to walk normally. They put so much pressure on the outside of my feet. Super uncomfortable. 
* The Supreme 3S offers some heat-molding capabilities, but only on certain areas of the liner.
* My son is having a hard time with these skates. They are not comfortable even after 2 sessions of molding and spending an extra $40 on special inserts.

The 3S will give you a lot of power, more power than you would get with some of the older models. It features the Pro TPU outsole, which has additional stiffness in the lower portion of the skate, delivering more speed. It's lightweight, and the upgraded foam also adds comfort. The 3S has the stainless steal runner and the trigger release system, allowing you to quickly swap out the blade. It's a skate you could play multiple seasons with.

* Two thumbs up for 2X’s. 5 years on my last set of skates and it was time for an upgrade, and the 2X’s do not disappoint. Very light, comfortable, and fast. 
* The fit on these skates is excellent. The new anatomical design with a wider toe box feels more comfortable than previous Vapor models, especially for players with wider feet. 
* The boot on these skates feels lighter than expected. The responsiveness of the boot is also great, allowing for good energy transfer in my strides.

* I question the longevity of the liner. While they seem fine for now, I worry about how they'll hold up with long-term use.

The Vapor 2X is just one notch down in durability and comfort from the 2X Pro. You might not notice as much comfort right off the bat, but overall, the fit and feel are pretty much the same. The 2X will still have the asymmetrical toe cap, ankle padding, and three-piece felt tongue. If you gave someone a new pair of 2X Pros and the 2Xs, blindfolded them, and asked them to figure out which was which, they would have difficulty distinguishing between the two.

* These skates are incredible! Super lightweight and feels responsive, which is exactly what I was looking for in a skate for quick cuts and accelerations. My strides feel really explosive.
* The fit on these skates is spot on. I went with the medium width and it feels like an extension of my foot. The SpeedBlade XS steel gives me some of the best edge control I've ever had.
* Big difference from my old skates. The ankle support in the JetSpeeds is top-notch. I feel really locked in and stable on my edges.

CONS:



* Less durable than expected for the price. The lining around the ankle already shows some signs of wear after just a couple of months of use. 

 



* I found the break-in period for these skates to be a bit longer than usual.  It took a good few weeks before they started to feel comfortable.
* These skates felt a bit too stiff for me, especially in the forefoot area. It restricted my toe flexion a bit and made it harder to get a good push-off. Maybe better suited for a more powerful skater than myself.

This skate is intended for people who skate about once a week and are not super competitive. It'll hold up. If you skate ten times a week with these skates, they will only last you a little while, maybe a month or two. However, the main thing is that there is no quick or easy release for the metal runners or the blades. Many players look for skates with a metal release, which will let them swap out their blades. The more you sharpen them, the thinner they get. And in this case, you'd have to replace the whole bottom, the holder. It's more intensive than just clicking a button and adding new blades. But really, a solid skate for those who don’t skate every day.

The Bauer Vapor X2.9 skates offer a similar level of performance as the JetSpeed 250 skates, with a focus on quickness and agility. CCM’s signature skate release for 2015 was the all-new CCM Jetspeed. It’s a top-to-bottom redesign that replaces the now-discontinued RBZ. 

The RBZ skates were much wider and had a lot of negative space. They also had a problem with heel lock, which caused skaters to slip out of their heels. This led to skaters overtightening their skates, damaging the quarter packages and eyelets on the lacing. CCM seriously considered these issues when designing the new and improved, full composite JetSpeed ice skates. The upgrades to the Jetspeed line include: 



* 40 grams lighter than their RBZ predecessor
* Contoured RocketFrame™ full composite boot. 
* Double-stitched tendon guard to improve their durability.
* A JetProtect tongue. The first layer of the tongue contains thick felt, then a layer of EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) foam, and finally, a layer of HD (High Density) foam. The outer portion of the tongue features a protective ridge for the laces to rest upon, a "heavy weapon" in the battle against lace-bite.
* Custom support insoles which come in high-arch, mid-arch, and low-arch options.

PROS:



* These skates are a fantastic option for beginner to intermediate players. They offer a good balance of comfort, performance, and affordability. The boot is supportive enough for learning proper technique, and the steel provides decent edge control.
* The boot feels nice and lightweight. It allows for quick turns and good responsiveness, which is exactly what I was looking for.  My skating feels more dynamic.
* The heat-moldable liner is a great feature for getting a more personalized fit. I was able to get rid of some pressure points around my ankles, which makes a big difference in comfort for longer skates. 

CONS:



* These skates felt a bit too soft for me. I couldn't get the same level of energy transfer as with a stiffer boot. If you're a more advanced player who needs maximum power transfer, you might want to consider a higher-end model.
* I've seen some mixed reviews about the durability of these skates.  While they seem fine for now, I'm a little worried about how they'll hold up with long-term use.
* The break-in period for these skates wasn't the most pleasant. They felt a bit stiff at first, but they did loosen up after a few skates.

The JetSpeed 250 is at the lower end of the JetSpeed line and focuses on speed and explosiveness. It's built for people just starting out or who only skate once a week. It'll give you a good feel of the JetSpeed line. The 250 doesn't have the quick-release holder, so you'd have to replace the bottom, but in most cases, for a recreational skater or someone just learning, it’s a great skate.

### Expert Notes

The entire line of Nexus jets has a more simplistic, low-key look and design than Bauer’s other two lines, Supreme and Vapor. For someone with a wider foot, Nexus 7000 skates work quite well in terms of fit. Be sure to check out Nexus skates in their mid-range mode; these are a more affordable price and you will still reap the benefits of the quick release blade. The width in the toe cap, combined with the soft heel of these skates, really creates a very comfortable experience.
