PROS:



* These skates are perfect for recreational players or those just starting out in hockey. The comfort level is good, and they provide enough support for basic skating and learning proper technique. 
* The microfiber liner is surprisingly comfortable, and the memory foam ankle padding provides good support. The option to heat-mold the skates is a nice bonus, especially for players with wider feet.
* I've used Bauer Vapors in the past, and this X2.7 model feels great. Love the memory foam padding for extra comfort when I’ve been skating all day. 

CONS:



* To me, these skates feel like they are on the softer side. While that might be good for beginners, it's not ideal for powerful skaters who need a stiffer boot for maximum energy transfer.  
* The liner doesnt seem partifiualy durable.  I'm a little worried about how they'll hold up with long-term use, especially because I’m a frequent skater.
* The break-in period for these skates wasn't the shortest. It took a few sessions for them to feel truly comfortable.  If you're impatient, this might be a bit of a drawback.

I've had these many times; it's a mid-tier, performance-level skate where you can undoubtedly play a few seasons (probably not in the NHL), but in University, high-level competitive play. The X2.7 has a quick-release holder, and the Vapor fit will be a bit lower, snug, and flexible. The top-level pro-Vapors might last you three years, whereas these might last one and a half two years, but it's the same kind of comfort. It just comes down to your abilities.

The True Pro Custom are the skates I currently use. They're fantastic. The durability on these is just otherworldly. I've used my Pro Customs for over two years, and they still hold up great. In being custom, a lot of the holders (what keeps the steel in) can be swapped out. They will feature the quick-release Bauer version, or you'll see these skates with the quick-release CCM version. When you're looking for these skates, you can pretty much find whatever you desire.

The AS3 Pro is a carbon composite one-piece boot. It's a higher-level skate with a premium liner for moisture wicking, an interchangeable, custom-fitting tongue, and an improved blade lock system that secures the blade to the holder. Swapping out blades is super easy. The AS3 will have a more anatomical, snug fit. It has good heel locking, giving you reall good acceleration and power.
