* After getting them baked they are unreal. Feels like a pair of sneakers. The LS Pulse blades took some time getting used to for a beginner like me but after a few sessions they’re solid and they make skating somewhat easier. 
* These skates are awesome and super stable. For me there was a slight learning curve (probably more so because I have been skating in the wrong size for a good portion of my life) but these skates are game changers. The glide, the comfort, the stability, everything.

CONS:



* While the stiffness is good for intermediate players, some advanced skaters might find the Vapor 3X a bit too flexible for their needs. If you're a powerful skater who demands maximum energy transfer, you might want to consider a stiffer boot from the Bauer Vapor Hyperlite or Supreme lines.
* I like my skates tied tight. And due to this, the top eyelets of these skates did not last much beyond the warranty period. 
* The hard plastic eyelet material is impossible to get tight around upper foot and ankles. The boot is very low volume and shallow so I had to swap out for Supremes. Toe box is great though.

The 3x Pro is made of light materials and is super durable. It's a pro model, so it has top-level comfort with high-quality foam and an asymmetrical toe cap. The lower part of the skate is softer, while the upper part is stiffer, allowing for more support. The 2X Pro was such a hit, and it's kind of hard to follow up... but they made a decent skate with the 3X Pro.

The M5 Pro is focused on giving a lot of power. Normally, you'd hear a Supreme or Bauer Pro model going for $900+. The M5 Pro is different than that. It has all the Pro features, but for a cheaper price—more of a mid-range level price. So the M5 Pro has all the same comfort features, durability, the ability to change your steel, and the traditional supreme anatomic fit. With the new Fit System mechanisms, the M5 Pro allows you to customize whether you want it wide, narrow, etc.

* These skates are unbelievably light! The one-piece boot and PowerFly holder really make a difference. They feel very agile and responsive on the ice, allowing for quicker turns and faster strides. My skating has definitely improved since switching to the HyperLite 2.
* The HyperLite 2 skates are some of the most comfortable skates I've ever worn. The liner is soft and the foam padding helps eliminate pressure points. The new fit system with variable flex zones seems to conform well to my foot shape.
* Great skates, the 2's are very similar to the original HyperLite's, 2's have a better release to change the steel, and a different tongue.

CONS



* There's no getting around it, these skates are expensive. They're definitely an investment for serious players only.
* A huge issue for me is lacing up because there are NO metal eyelets for the laces. So to tighten, l have to pull on the laces sideways (if l pull straight up there's a good chance the laces will rip through the carbon fiber) making it difficult to get a good grip.
* Paying well over $1k for skates and additional steel, I feel like the skates should really last longer than two years.

There is not as much difference between the HyperLite and the HyperLite 2 as there was between the Hyperlite and the 2x Pro, but the 2 is really just a lighter skate. More comfort features have been added also, and there is a new locking mechanism. The HyperLite 2 still offers the quick release, but it's a different upgraded style, which makes it easier to switch the steel in and out. The holder itself is different and extremely lightweight.

* These skates are incredibly light!  The HyperFlex technology with the carbon composite boot makes a huge difference. They feel very responsive and agile on the ice, allowing for quicker starts, faster turns, and overall better maneuverability.
* They felt weird at first, but after two skates I’m realizing some benefits. My turns are sticking better and my stops are harder and more precise. I will never be great, but these skates are helping me be the best I can be.
* After baking and profiling, they are outstanding. I have about 10 skates on them and couldn't be happier. Out of the box comfort is great and forward flex is much better than my old skates.

CONS:



* I’m questioning it’s durability especially for the $1,000+ price tag. The tongue looks good but the red fabric has already torn in only a month. I just replaced his laces as they were cut in several places which appear to be a result of the plastic lace eyelets.
* The Vapor Hyperlite leans towards a stiffer flex profile for maximum energy transfer.  While great for powerful skaters, this stiffness is too much for a beginner like me.
* After 6 months of use, i’m forced to buy another set because the plastic lace system at the top of the skate was broken and rendered the skate useless.

I've had multiple pairs of the HyperLites, both retail and custom-made. It's like the HyperLite took the best elements from all the top Vapor skates and made them even lighter and more comfortable. The Hyperlite is the lightest skate I've ever used. It's almost so light that you need to get adjusted to putting pressure differently using your blades because heavier skates do give you a little extra weight. 

They have a comfort liner within the skate and right along the ankle, which keeps your ankles from wearing down. It's very durable, too. I've used a pair for about three years, skating a lot, and they've held up perfectly. Also, it's a great travel skate. Everything is weight-based if you're flying somewhere, so the HyperLite is an excellent option.

* These skates offer a significant jump in performance over entry-level skates. The Flex Composite boot provides a good balance of stiffness for powerful strides and some flex for maneuverability. They're perfect for skaters who want to improve their game without breaking the bank.
* The Vapor 3X fits true to size and feels comfortable right out of the box. The 40-ounce felt tongue with comfort lining offers good support and reduces pressure points. The asymmetrical toe cap also seems to help with a snug fit around the toes.
* Skate has a good amount of higher end features and has good interior support. We upgraded the foot beds to super feet since the include ones are typical unsupported foam. All in all a very good middle of the line skate for not a lot of money.

* Skilled players who are used to top-of-the-line skates might find the Vapor 3X a bit too flexible. The flex profile is geared towards balance and maneuverability, which can sacrifice some energy transfer for powerful strides. 
* Blade holder cracked after a deflection during a game, and the material of the boot is already falling apart. Had these for about 4 months before having to buy Hyperlites because of the poor construction.
* The Vapor 3X doesn't offer any heat-molding capabilities and while the liner is comfortable…I have some wicked pressure points and am disappointed with the customization options.

The 3X was released close to the HyperLite, which was a revolutionary skate at the time, so it kinda got lost in the mix. It's still a good skate and very similar to the 3X Pro model but without as much comfort. One of the things that makes the 2X Pro great is how light it feels. It's an extremely lightweight boot that is also really durable. It's a predecessor to what you see in the HyperLite these days. Very durable but also very light. So the 2X Pro is perfect for agility, cutting back and forth across the ice. And, it still has good power. At the professional level, some NHL players use the 2X Pro and have no issues. It’s a skate that will last you. Mine are still fine to play in even after years. It's a skate built to last.

You still see the 3S Pro in the NHL, and they hold up well. You can also quickly change out the blades and keep going. Players use them for years without any kind of loss in performance in terms of power.

Much like the 190 and MX3 models, the 170’s are made of 3D Ultra Lightweight Tech Mesh that is heat-moldable for a personalized fit and comfort. The traditional white-felt tongue also includes extra protection against shots and lace bite without losing its comfort. Most notable from previous Supreme models is the Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holder, which allows you to replace broken blades that may have dulled steel in just seconds, even mid-game. The boot is lined with antimicrobial protection, and enhanced breathability continuously keeps the skate light and comfortable.

### Expert Notes

This a great skate with respect to comfort, performance, and price point. The boot offers foot and ankle support without compromising the skate’s comfort and weight. Another benefit of these skates is how quickly they break in. For a firm boot, they are quite adaptable and a perfect buy for someone who skates less frequently and wants to quickly break in a new skate. On the ice, Supreme 170 skates feel great, from the strong rebounding tendon guard on the back to the soft white tongues in the front. They also look very sharp with their primarily black design, very similar to Bauer’s top Supreme skate.

Bauer X500 skates are in the middle of the pack of the Vapor line. Vapor skates offer unique builds for players who are looking for speed and balance at a competitive price. The Trueform Tech PU boot with X-Rib pattern is heat moldable and super stiff for increased support and protection. The one-piece injected heel and ankle core offer increased stability and durability, while the interior Hydrophobic Microfiber liner wicks away moisture and keeps the foot dry. Anaform foam padding protects the ankle while a two-piece felt tongue with injected high-density foam offers protection from impacts and lace bite. Tuuk LightSpeed Edge Holders and Tuuk LightSpeed Super Stainless Steel runners are lightweight and offer a tool-less removal system for quick blade changes. 

### Expert Notes

The main thing regarding the X500 is the lack of stiffness throughout the boot relative to some of the higher end vapor models. For someone skating 1-2 times per week, they work quite well and are priced on the lower end of the spectrum, which is ideal if you’re on a budget. The low level of boot stiffness does allow for greater comfort initially, and they are super easy to break in and get used to. The entire line of Vapor skates has always been a good looking line of skates as well, as they all tend to stick to the all-black boot with red detailing.
