If you skate ten times a week with these skates, they will only last you a little while, maybe a month or two. However, the main thing is that there is no quick or easy release for the metal runners or the blades. Many players look for skates with a metal release, which will let them swap out their blades. The more you sharpen them, the thinner they get. And in this case, you'd have to replace the whole bottom, the holder. It's more intensive than just clicking a button and adding new blades. But really, a solid skate for those who don’t skate every day.

The AS-570 is in a good state. You have the ankle-locking memory foam and it offers a lot of power and comfort. This skate might not be as durable as other comparable models. It doesn't have the same high-end materials as the 5 Pro, but the AS-570 has a really good anatomical fit. It's a great skate if you don't really need the pro-level durability because you might only be skating on the weekends, but you still want something decent.

* The one-piece boot on these skates provides a good balance of stiffness for performance and comfort. The multi-density foam core seem to help with the break-in period, making them comfortable to wear for long practices. 
* The AS-V is out of this world for comfort in the wide. They have fixed the low volume and the toe cap so no longer rubbing on the top of the foot. I knew these were great as soon as I put them on. I’m glad I didn't settle for the other skates and waited for these to come out. 

CONS:



* For sure a longer break-in period due to the stiffness of the boot. I had some ankle soreness during the first few weeks of use.
* The AS-V skates don't offer as many customization options as some other high-end models. The liner is not fully heat-moldable like some other skates. 
* I am worried about the blade holder system. They come with plastic insert. Took out and tried to put in V-Steel. Could not get to go in.

The AS-V offers a close, professional fit, and a lot of power. I really love the quick acceleration. The number one thing with this skate is comfort. The padding really secures the ankle and foot while keeping the flexibility to turn and move. The tongue has a funky design, but it allows you to get a full range of motion without feeling insecure in the skate or like it's going to fall off or wobble.

* These skates are super light and feel very responsive on the ice. The BlackSteel blades are sharp and give you a great bite. My skating has gotten a lot more dynamic since I switched to these.
* I was surprised at how affordable these skates were compared to other high-end models. They don't skimp on quality at all. The fit is great and the liner keeps my feet dry.

* The break-in period for these skates was a bit longer than I expected. My ankles were pretty sore for the first few weeks.
* These skates run a bit narrow. If you have wide feet, you might want to try a different model.
* Lacing system could be better. The laces that come with the skates are kind of flimsy. I had to replace them with a higher quality pair.

These jets are among the most stylish looking skates on the market right now, and are recommended for elite level players. The black runner steel is a crowd favorite, because it holds an edge longer than standard steel tends to. You can clearly see when there are nicks in the blade, so it won’t be hard for you to figure out when they need to be replaced. These blades are also incredibly lightweight, and you’ll notice this right away when you pick them up. As you would expect with a top-of-the-line boot, they’re very stiff. AS1 skates also don’t have an outsole, so this combined with the stiffness allows for unreal foot control.

With an all black contoured boot, complemented by low-key red and white flare along the sides and back of the tendon guard. In terms of performance, they are comfortable and are quite form-fitting. The soft tongue and narrower heel pocket helps to keep the foot steady, without any noticeable pressure points. All in all: these skates offer a lot of comfort and a sharp look at a mid-range price.
