Top Competitors
CCM AS3 Pro Hockey Skates face stiff competition from two Bauer models: the Supreme Mach and Vapor X3.7. Supreme Mach targets powerful skaters with its design for explosive strides, while Vapor X3.7 prioritizes a performance-oriented fit for advanced players. Both Bauer skates boast excellent user ratings, with Supreme Mach priced at a premium compared to the more affordable Vapor X3.7. The best choice depends on your playing style and budget.
Progression of the CCM AS3 Pro Hockey Skates
CCM introduces minor improvements to existing skate lines throughout their production cycle without necessarily introducing a new numbered model. However, there are CCM Super Tacks skates that came before the AS3 Pro, which offer some insight into the general progression:
This skate is known for its stiff flex profile and focus on powerful strides. It features a one-piece SpeedBlade black CCM XS blade and a Speedblade XS holder.
This model offers a slightly more forgiving flex compared to the AS1 while maintaining a focus on power. It retains the one-piece SpeedBlade black CCM XS blade and Speedblade XS holder.
- One-piece boot construction: Closer fit and improved energy transfer compared to the two-piece construction in the AS1 and AS-V.
- XS Tongue system: Customization of tongue thickness for individual preferences and comfort levels, which wasn't present in the AS1 and AS-V.
- SpeedBlade XS holder with Power Profile: Better edge control and power transfer compared to the standard XS holder used in the AS1 and AS-V.

Edge control is incredible, and my skating feels effortless. A great choice for experienced players. |
They are head and shoulders above the Supremes in terms of comfort and feel on the ice. The one-piece boot is phenomenal. |
Despite the stiffness for power transfer, the AS3 Pro feels surprisingly lightweight. |
👎 Cons |

These skates are definitely on the expensive side. While the performance is undeniable, the price tag is steep! |
These skates are quite stiff out of the box and possibly too stiff for some skaters. |
These skates need a longer break-in period than I expected. It took them a few weeks of use before they felt truly comfortable. |
The AS3 Pro is a carbon composite one-piece boot. It's a higher-level skate with a premium liner for moisture wicking, an interchangeable, custom-fitting tongue, and an improved blade lock system that secures the blade to the holder. Swapping out blades is super easy. The AS3 will have a more anatomical, snug fit. It has good heel locking, giving you reall good acceleration and power. I highly receommed these skates.
