I would do my stride in the FT4 Pro and realized pretty quickly that I needed to watch out! I'm not used to the power. You see a lot of NHL players still using the FT4 Pro. I'll see a player going really fast and think wow, look at that. Oh yeah, they are wearing the JetSpeed FT4 Pro.

The AS-570 is in a good state. You have the ankle-locking memory foam and it offers a lot of power and comfort. This skate might not be as durable as other comparable models. It's a great skate if you don't really need the pro-level durability because you might only be skating on the weekends, but you still want something decent.

This skate is intended for people who skate about once a week and are not super competitive. It'll hold up. If you skate ten times a week with these skates, they will only last you a little while, maybe a month or two. However, the main thing is that there is no quick or easy release for the metal runners or the blades. Many players look for skates with a metal release, which will let them swap out their blades. The more you sharpen them, the thinner they get. And in this case, you'd have to replace the whole bottom, the holder. It's more intensive than just clicking a button and adding new blades. But really, a solid skate for those who don’t skate every day.

CCM OrthoMove Custom Support Insoles allow a personalized fit and increased energy transfer while a re-designed TriTech Flex tongue with injected foam offers mobile protection. These jets are among the most stylish looking skates on the market right now, and are recommended for elite level players. The black runner steel is a crowd favorite, because it holds an edge longer than standard steel tends to. You can clearly see when there are nicks in the blade, so it won’t be hard for you to figure out when they need to be replaced. These blades are also incredibly lightweight, and you’ll notice this right away when you pick them up. As you would expect with a top-of-the-line boot, they’re very stiff. AS1 skates also don’t have an outsole, so this combined with the stiffness allows for unreal foot control.

CCM’s signature skate release for 2015 was the all-new CCM Jetspeed. It’s a top-to-bottom redesign that replaces the now-discontinued RBZ. 

The RBZ skates were much wider and had a lot of negative space. They also had a problem with heel lock, which caused skaters to slip out of their heels. This led to skaters overtightening their skates, damaging the quarter packages and eyelets on the lacing. CCM seriously considered these issues when designing the new and improved, full composite JetSpeed ice skates. The upgrades to the Jetspeed line include: 



* 40 grams lighter than their RBZ predecessor
* Contoured RocketFrame™ full composite boot. 
* Double-stitched tendon guard to improve their durability.
* A JetProtect tongue. The first layer of the tongue contains thick felt, then a layer of EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) foam, and finally, a layer of HD (High Density) foam. The outer portion of the tongue features a protective ridge for the laces to rest upon, a "heavy weapon" in the battle against lace-bite.
* Custom support insoles which come in high-arch, mid-arch, and low-arch options.

PROS:



* These skates are a fantastic option for beginner to intermediate players. They offer a good balance of comfort, performance, and affordability. The boot is supportive enough for learning proper technique, and the steel provides decent edge control.
* The boot feels nice and lightweight. It allows for quick turns and good responsiveness, which is exactly what I was looking for.  My skating feels more dynamic.
* The heat-moldable liner is a great feature for getting a more personalized fit. I was able to get rid of some pressure points around my ankles, which makes a big difference in comfort for longer skates. 

CONS:



* These skates felt a bit too soft for me. I couldn't get the same level of energy transfer as with a stiffer boot. If you're a more advanced player who needs maximum power transfer, you might want to consider a higher-end model.
* I've seen some mixed reviews about the durability of these skates.  While they seem fine for now, I'm a little worried about how they'll hold up with long-term use.
* The break-in period for these skates wasn't the most pleasant. They felt a bit stiff at first, but they did loosen up after a few skates.

The JetSpeed 250 is at the lower end of the JetSpeed line and focuses on speed and explosiveness. It's built for people just starting out or who only skate once a week. It'll give you a good feel of the JetSpeed line. The 250 doesn't have the quick-release holder, so you'd have to replace the bottom, but in most cases, for a recreational skater or someone just learning, it’s a great skate.
