* These skates are incredibly light!  The HyperFlex technology with the carbon composite boot makes a huge difference. They feel very responsive and agile on the ice, allowing for quicker starts, faster turns, and overall better maneuverability.
* They felt weird at first, but after two skates I’m realizing some benefits. My turns are sticking better and my stops are harder and more precise. I will never be great, but these skates are helping me be the best I can be.
* After baking and profiling, they are outstanding. I have about 10 skates on them and couldn't be happier. Out of the box comfort is great and forward flex is much better than my old skates.

CONS:



* I’m questioning it’s durability especially for the $1,000+ price tag. The tongue looks good but the red fabric has already torn in only a month. I just replaced his laces as they were cut in several places which appear to be a result of the plastic lace eyelets.
* The Vapor Hyperlite leans towards a stiffer flex profile for maximum energy transfer.  While great for powerful skaters, this stiffness is too much for a beginner like me.
* After 6 months of use, i’m forced to buy another set because the plastic lace system at the top of the skate was broken and rendered the skate useless.

I've had multiple pairs of the HyperLites, both retail and custom-made. It's like the HyperLite took the best elements from all the top Vapor skates and made them even lighter and more comfortable. The Hyperlite is the lightest skate I've ever used. It's almost so light that you need to get adjusted to putting pressure differently using your blades because heavier skates do give you a little extra weight. 

They have a comfort liner within the skate and right along the ankle, which keeps your ankles from wearing down. It's very durable, too. I've used a pair for about three years, skating a lot, and they've held up perfectly. Also, it's a great travel skate. Everything is weight-based if you're flying somewhere, so the HyperLite is an excellent option.

CONS



* There's no getting around it, these skates are expensive. They're definitely an investment for serious players only.
* A huge issue for me is lacing up because there are NO metal eyelets for the laces. So to tighten, l have to pull on the laces sideways (if l pull straight up there's a good chance the laces will rip through the carbon fiber) making it difficult to get a good grip.
* Paying well over $1k for skates and additional steel, I feel like the skates should really last longer than two years.

There is not as much difference between the HyperLite and the HyperLite 2 as there was between the Hyperlite and the 2x Pro, but the 2 is really just a lighter skate. More comfort features have been added also, and there is a new locking mechanism. The HyperLite 2 still offers the quick release, but it's a different upgraded style, which makes it easier to switch the steel in and out. The holder itself is different and extremely lightweight.

* Skilled players who are used to top-of-the-line skates might find the Vapor 3X a bit too flexible. The flex profile is geared towards balance and maneuverability, which can sacrifice some energy transfer for powerful strides. 
* Blade holder cracked after a deflection during a game, and the material of the boot is already falling apart. Had these for about 4 months before having to buy Hyperlites because of the poor construction.
* The Vapor 3X doesn't offer any heat-molding capabilities and while the liner is comfortable…I have some wicked pressure points and am disappointed with the customization options.

The 3X was released close to the HyperLite, which was a revolutionary skate at the time, so it kinda got lost in the mix. It's still a good skate and very similar to the 3X Pro model but without as much comfort. * While the stiffness is good for intermediate players, some advanced skaters might find the Vapor 3X a bit too flexible for their needs. If you're a powerful skater who demands maximum energy transfer, you might want to consider a stiffer boot from the Bauer Vapor Hyperlite or Supreme lines.
* I like my skates tied tight. And due to this, the top eyelets of these skates did not last much beyond the warranty period. 
* The hard plastic eyelet material is impossible to get tight around upper foot and ankles. The boot is very low volume and shallow so I had to swap out for Supremes. Toe box is great though.

One of the things that makes the 2X Pro great is how light it feels. It's an extremely lightweight boot that is also really durable. It's a predecessor to what you see in the HyperLite these days. Very durable but also very light. So the 2X Pro is perfect for agility, cutting back and forth across the ice. And, it still has good power. At the professional level, some NHL players use the 2X Pro and have no issues. It’s a skate that will last you. Mine are still fine to play in even after years. It's a skate built to last.

I've had these many times; it's a mid-tier, performance-level skate where you can undoubtedly play a few seasons (probably not in the NHL), but in University, high-level competitive play. The top-level pro-Vapors might last you three years, whereas these might last one and a half two years, but it's the same kind of comfort. It just comes down to your abilities.

The Vapor 2X is just one notch down in durability and comfort from the 2X Pro. You might not notice as much comfort right off the bat, but overall, the fit and feel are pretty much the same. If you gave someone a new pair of 2X Pros and the 2Xs, blindfolded them, and asked them to figure out which was which, they would have difficulty distinguishing between the two.

The low level of boot stiffness does allow for greater comfort initially, and they are super easy to break in and get used to. The entire line of Vapor skates has always been a good looking line of skates as well, as they all tend to stick to the all-black boot with red detailing.

Bauer 1S Skates are the industry leaders in custom stock skates. Bauer skates feature interchangeable tongue flexes, and its innovative C-Flex tendon guard. For the 1S, the newly improved C-Flex tendon guards allow for increased flex throughout your entire stride, so you add more power for the entire time that your skates are in contact with the ice. The three different stiffness options for the tendon guard allow you to customize your skates to your exact preferences. Skates from the Supreme line are a little wider than those from the Vapor line, so if you have a characteristically wide foot, you should explore Supreme skates rather than Vapor skates.

Built for quickness and speed the Vapor X60s are constructed with Ultra-Light tech mesh in a thermoformed Carbon Composite X-rib pattern, while new lightweight Dual Density+ foam provides heat-moldable support and comfort. The Hydra Max liner is moisture-wicking and abrasion-resistant to keep feet cool and dry without slippage or wear and tear near the ankle. The lightweight Bauer Tuuk holds the LS2 Stainless Steel blade and allows for maximum transfer of energy for powerful, quick strides. The flexible Form Fit 2 molded tongue helps to protect against lace-bite and includes a high-density metatarsal guard for added protection.

If you are familiar with Bauer’s Vapor line of skates, or if you have worn any Vapor skates before, you will be happy with the Vapor X60’s. What’s even better nowadays is the price of X60 skates; since they’re no longer a brand new model of skates, you can find exceptional deals on lightly used (and new) X60s. Many players who have worn them in the past will tell you that these wheels perform just as well as newer Vapor models such as the 1X. The liner and fit of the X60 boot is very comfortable, and will fit best with a more narrow foot and ankle structure compared to a wider foot.
