The M5 Pro is focused on giving a lot of power. Normally, you'd hear a Supreme or Bauer Pro model going for $900+. The M5 Pro is different than that. It has all the Pro features, but for a cheaper price—more of a mid-range level price. So the M5 Pro has all the same comfort features, durability, the ability to change your steel, and the traditional supreme anatomic fit. With the new Fit System mechanisms, the M5 Pro allows you to customize whether you want it wide, narrow, etc.

* These skates are awesome and super stable. For me there was a slight learning curve (probably more so because I have been skating in the wrong size for a good portion of my life) but these skates are game changers. The glide, the comfort, the stability, everything.

* While the stiffness is good for intermediate players, some advanced skaters might find the Vapor 3X a bit too flexible for their needs. If you're a powerful skater who demands maximum energy transfer, you might want to consider a stiffer boot from the Bauer Vapor Hyperlite or Supreme lines.
* I like my skates tied tight. And due to this, the top eyelets of these skates did not last much beyond the warranty period. 
* The hard plastic eyelet material is impossible to get tight around upper foot and ankles. The boot is very low volume and shallow so I had to swap out for Supremes. Toe box is great though.

* I’m questioning it’s durability especially for the $1,000+ price tag. The tongue looks good but the red fabric has already torn in only a month. I just replaced his laces as they were cut in several places which appear to be a result of the plastic lace eyelets.
* The Vapor Hyperlite leans towards a stiffer flex profile for maximum energy transfer.  While great for powerful skaters, this stiffness is too much for a beginner like me.
* After 6 months of use, i’m forced to buy another set because the plastic lace system at the top of the skate was broken and rendered the skate useless.

I've had multiple pairs of the HyperLites, both retail and custom-made. It's like the HyperLite took the best elements from all the top Vapor skates and made them even lighter and more comfortable. The Hyperlite is the lightest skate I've ever used. It's almost so light that you need to get adjusted to putting pressure differently using your blades because heavier skates do give you a little extra weight. 

They have a comfort liner within the skate and right along the ankle, which keeps your ankles from wearing down. It's very durable, too. I've used a pair for about three years, skating a lot, and they've held up perfectly. Also, it's a great travel skate. Everything is weight-based if you're flying somewhere, so the HyperLite is an excellent option.

* Blade holder cracked after a deflection during a game, and the material of the boot is already falling apart. Had these for about 4 months before having to buy Hyperlites because of the poor construction.
* The Vapor 3X doesn't offer any heat-molding capabilities and while the liner is comfortable…I have some wicked pressure points and am disappointed with the customization options.

The 3X was released close to the HyperLite, which was a revolutionary skate at the time, so it kinda got lost in the mix. It's still a good skate and very similar to the 3X Pro model but without as much comfort. It's a mid- to upper-level fully composite skate with a felt tongue and a hydrophobic liner with a great grip.

* This skate is not meant for a wide foot! After 45 minutes, I wanted to get off the ice; it took me up to 2 hours to walk normally. They put so much pressure on the outside of my feet. Super uncomfortable. 
* The Supreme 3S offers some heat-molding capabilities, but only on certain areas of the liner.
* My son is having a hard time with these skates. They are not comfortable even after 2 sessions of molding and spending an extra $40 on special inserts.

More comfort features have been added also, and there is a new locking mechanism. The HyperLite 2 still offers the quick release, but it's a different upgraded style, which makes it easier to switch the steel in and out. The holder itself is different and extremely lightweight.

You still see the 3S Pro in the NHL, and they hold up well. You can also quickly change out the blades and keep going. I've had these many times; it's a mid-tier, performance-level skate where you can undoubtedly play a few seasons (probably not in the NHL), but in University, high-level competitive play. The top-level pro-Vapors might last you three years, whereas these might last one and a half two years, but it's the same kind of comfort. It just comes down to your abilities.

So players can use the M3 for a lot longer than if there was no way to change the blades efficiently. It has a lot of comfort features like a thick padded tongue. It's so focused on comfort and this keeps players happier. Because when you're starting out, comfort is a bit more important. The reason I've seen people STOP using this skate is just because of the durability aspect. As people become more comfortable with their game or their skating, and they start doing different cuts and using their skates differently, the wear will happen in different areas and degrade this skate faster than higher-end models.

* Just started playing hockey and these skates are perfect for me. They're comfortable, supportive, and affordable. I haven't had any problems learning to skate in them, and they seem pretty durable so far.
* I have wider feet and these skates fit great.  The ankle support feels good and they don't pinch anywhere. The break-in period wasn't too bad either..
* Sure, these aren't top-of-the-line skates, but for a recreational player like me, they work just fine. They offer decent ankle support and a good blade for basic skating and maneuvering.

* These skates felt a bit too soft for me. I couldn't get a very powerful push-off and I felt like I was losing some energy transfer. If you're a more powerful skater, you might want to look for a stiffer boot.

* The quality of the materials seems a bit on the cheaper side. I'm worried about how long these skates will last, especially with regular use.

There is no quick-release mechanism for the metal runners or blades, which makes the 140 a good skate for beginners or skaters who skate less often and don't want to pay too much but still want a quality skate. The 140 will last only a few years, but it’s an excellent introductory skate in the Supreme line, allowing you to get a feel for it. Do you like the Supreme? Do you like a bit of extra power or do you want to try something different?
