PROS:



* These skates offer a lot of bang for your buck! The one-piece boot is stiff and responsive, providing excellent power transfer for strong strides. They come with the top-of-the-line SpeedBlade XS runners which offer great edge control. For the price point, they feel like a true pro-level skate.
* The Jetspeed FT6 skates are surprisingly comfortable, even for a high-performance model. The liner is thermoformable, which allows for a customized fit around my ankle for better pressure point distribution and overall comfort.
* You get what you pay for. This high-end CCM is perfect for me. I spent about 2 hours trying to find the perfect fit for my feet; the FT6 was it for me. On the ice, this shines even more.

* They feel heavy on the feet. I have to get used to how heavy they are... I came from wearing the super light Mach supremes every day, so it’s a big difference.
* While the Game Ready Fit helps, there is a break-in period of a few weeks due to the stiffness of the boot. I’m still having some minor discomfort around the ankles.
* Before you purchase make sure the holders are straight!

The FT6 Pro is basically the FT4 Pro on steroids. It offers really, really good speed and a bit better comfort than the FT4 Pro. It also has more flexibility and memory foam to prevent lace bite, and it addresses range-of-motion issues. This skate offers speed, power, and a good range of motion. You can really dig in and get that power and still go with the angles.

HGCL Gloves were designed for professional players, and they include a number of protective features that have become the standard of the CCM line. Throughout the backs and fingers of the glove is Heavy Duty Dual-Density Foam along with an integrated Shot Blocker Pad for maximum protection. Even with this feature, these gloves still remain lightweight. The glove maintains a snug, tapered fit on the hand, allowing for solid wrist mobility. Plastic inserts offer even more lightweight protection. The interior liner wicks away moisture to keep hands dry while the suede palm provides a soft, comfortable grip on the stick.

### Expert Notes

HGCL gloves are super easy on the eyes, especially when the CCM-branded wrap around pad at the wrist contrasts with the rest of the glove. They fit fairly snug around the hand and fingers but really loosen up and feel more open at the wrist. The interesting part about these gloves is how they offer such a customized fit and a high end feel while looking like a more traditional, rugged style of glove. If you prefer slimmer fitting gloves, the HGCL’s are a sweet fit on the hand and offer great overall mobility and feel.
