Titleist TSi2 Fairway Wood

Designed for golfers seeking impressive distance and accuracy across the entire face, the Titleist TSi2 Fairway Wood boasts a powerful combination of technologies. Its Active Recoil Channel 4.0 flexes at impact, maximizing ball speed for longer shots. Additionally, a deeper center of gravity promotes a higher launch angle, helping you get the ball airborne more easily. Overall, the Titleist TSi2 Fairway Wood delivers a strong combination of distance, forgiveness, and accuracy for golfers of various skill levels.

Perfect fairway wood for:
A wider range of golfers who prioritize distance and accuracy, but especially those who struggle with launch.

Key features include:

Active Recoil Channel 4.0Features a shorter wall compared to previous versions, allowing for more face flex at impact.
High-Speed VFT FaceWorks in conjunction with ARC 4.0 to maximize ball speeds across the entire face. By strategically distributing weight throughout the face, even mishits can benefit from a spring-like effect for longer distances.
Optimized Weight DistributionA thin crown combined with variable face thickness results in a lower CG, which translates to higher launch and lower spin for speed and stability.
Performance-Tuned AdjustabilityThe TSi2 refines the ways in which a fitter can fine-tune performance to help you get the most out of every swing.

Top Competitors

The Callaway Rogue ST LS Fairway Wood prioritizes distance and forgiveness much like the TSi2. It features Callaway's Jailbreak technology, which uses internal bars to stiffen the clubface and transfer more impact energy to the ball for increased ball speed and longer distance. Additionally, the Rogue ST boasts a larger sweet spot and a deep CG design to promote forgiveness on off-center hits. The Ping G425 Max Fairway Wood focuses on achieving distance and forgiveness through a combination of features. Its large sweet spot and a lower CG design work together to deliver more distance on mishits and a higher launch angle for easier lift off, respectively.

Progression of the TSi2 fairway wood:

The Titleist TSi2 fairway wood represents an evolution in Titleist's fairway wood technology, offering more distance and forgiveness compared to the TS series, with a specific focus on helping golfers get the ball airborne more easily. Here's a look at its progression:

Predecessor:

The most immediate predecessor to the TSi2 is the Titleist TS series fairway woods (TS1, TS2, TS3), released in 2018. These models focused on power and adjustability.

Upgrades in TSi2:

The Titleist TSi2 fairway wood builds upon the strengths of the TS series with some key advancements:

  • Active Recoil Channel 4.0: This refined version of the technology in the TS series flexes more at impact, potentially generating even greater ball speed and distance.
  • Deeper Center of Gravity: The TSi2 features a deeper CG compared to the TS series. This promotes a higher launch angle, making it easier to get the ball airborne and potentially increasing forgiveness on off-center hits.
  • Focus on forgiveness: While distance remains a priority, the TSi2 places more emphasis on forgiveness through the CG design and the Active Recoil Channel that helps off-center hits maintain decent distance.
👍 Pros
The TSI provides great speed and accuracy across the clubface. I have easily added 20 yards with the TSI.
The adjustment options on this club were the main selling point for me.
I use this as a 3 fairway wood, nice compact head, ball jumps if you hit it flush. Higher than average loft.
👎 Cons
Good club, but smaller than average hitting surface.
10 balls in and there is a huge surface area on the club face that is scratched and scared. It looks terrible.
I may not hit this club as far but at least I can keep it in the fairway.
The TSi2 has a perfect blend of speed/distance and consistency. Regardless of where it's hit on the face, it's a strong club. Your skill level doesn't matter; you'll be able to hit it. The TSi2 features a shorter wall compared to previous versions. And because this model is a few years old, you can often find it at an affordable price. If you prefer a fairway wood that offers more workability and control over your shot shape, Titleist offers other models designed for more advanced golfers.
