Ping G30 Fairway Woods are designed to maximize distance without sacrificing forgiveness. Most notable to the G30 are the Crown Turbulators that are aerodynamic fins that sit on the crown of the club to smooth the airflow and to increase club head speed for a measurable distance gain. Center of Gravity (CG) is positioned progressively throughout the club options in order to maximize ball trajectory and to increase moment of inertia (MOI). The club face is constructed from 475 carpenter steel, designed to be stronger, lighter, and thinner. Ping G30 Fairway Woods come standard with the TFC 419F graphite shaft with a high balance point for increased MOI.
Expert Notes
Ping G30 fairway woods feature turbulators on the crown that certainly do their job, as these woods feel like some of the longest on the market. The face profile has slightly increased height for additional loft. The adjustable hosel gives you the flexibility to control your shots more consistently. These woods sit very nicely behind the ball, and you’ll find it easy to get the ball airborne. Compared to other Ping fairway woods, the G30’s are pretty light -- so if that’s your cup of tea, be sure to check these out.
