The Louieville Slugger Atlas is a newer bat that's been out for two years now. It's the next bat in the same generation as the Louisville Slugger Solo. It is a one-piece design, very easy to swing. Flashy paint job. It’s one of the top couple of bats in the alloy market.

* This bat has a fantastic feel, sound, and performance on miss-hits. It boasts one of the largest sweet spots in BBCOR. Although it lacks feedback, it is very easy to swing.
* Great feel and pop. Although I usually change grips, the stock grip on this bat is solid. The durability is very impressive as well, as the bat has already outlasted most others.
* No failures on Meta bats except cosmetic chips. They perform better than new. High school varsity team used 32-3 for 2 years without issues. Change grip tape yearly and keep hitting!

For the 2018 season, the BBCOR-certified Louisville Slugger Select 718 baseball bat was all the rage among power hitters. The Select 718 features a slightly end-loaded feel that is ideal for heavy hitters. The composite handle combines with an aluminum barrel constructed from ST 7U1+ alloy. The result? A durable bat with great shelf life that will provide you with superior pop on contact. Select 718 bats also feature TRU3 technology that practically eliminates sting in the hands on mishits. This bat also doesn’t require much break-in, so you’ll be able to use it pretty soon after you purchase it. The Speed Ballistic End Cap extends the barrel length of the Select 718, which leads to better overall weight distribution and more control in the hitting zone.

After a hiatus in 2017 (there is no 717 bat), the 718 is a response to a number of collegiate players who were in love with the big swing of the 716. The 718 Slugger is recommended for strong players who want a heavy-swinging bat in the two piece hybrid realm. The good news is that Louisville Slugger makes bats for other types of hitters too. The 918 Prime would serve well for hitters that like a nice light swing and a decent sized barrel. The 618 works well for those who want the lightest swinging bat that Slugger makes. The 518 serves the needs of value-seeking, single-piece aluminum bat fans.​
